    Teak Oil & Sealer

Well said, I agree with you. I guess I'm hoping for a better solution for what I've had poor results with. I do enjoy the teak when it looks clean and colorful instead of the grey it turns to after a while. It seems that spending extra money on a higher quality product isn't all that beneficial.

How about a recommendation for Teak Oil/Sealer or Varnish brand?

    Teak Oil & Sealer

It's that time of the year and in getting my 27 year old boat ready I'm wondering what Teak Oil and or Sealer to buy this time. My biggest problem is the swim deck which takes the most abuse, saltwater and sun. In the past I've used a Teak treatment that had a varnish in it and that seemed to...

    Hydraulic Trim Tab Motor

Thanks for the reply and link. I did find one at HodgesMarine.com http://www.hodgesmarine.com/BENNETT-HYD ... 51hpu1.htm. They seem real reasonable and they don't hit you with tax too.

    Hydraulic Trim Tab Motor

Sorry Guys I found it. The search was "Bennett 12V Trim Tab Hydraulic Power Unit".

    Hydraulic Trim Tab Motor

My Bennett trim tabs are not working at all. There is current to the motor because every time I push both switches to either bring both tabs up or down my battery alarm on my fish finder goes off. I also checked the fuse and replaced it to be sure too. I have been trying to find a replacement...

    Need New Helm

After my mechanic did my spring service on my 88 Seafarer he told me that I should replace my helm. There is a lot of play and a ringing noise I get when I turn from one side or to the other. There also something like a snap to the ringing when I turn too. Is there anything I can do or adjust to...

Question about water in fuel tank

If you have a minimal amount of water in your gas, Starbtite's Gastron along with a Water Separator Filter will take care of the problem. All boaters running today's ethanol added gas should without question be running a Water Separator filter not only for the water but for dirt too. I use the...

Question about water in fuel tank

You should go back and read again. He has 50 gallons of NEW GAS in his auxiliary tank, that's no indication of a "lot of water". Maybe you could come up with a helpful solution rather than bashing a fellow poster.

    "88" Seafarer Battery Box Clips

Called a dealer this morning and ordered them. Perko made the clips but I think they discontinued the ones they used on my boat. The dealer is sending me new ones still made by Perko but a different design.

LED Inserts for Floodlights + anchorlight

I replaced every light bulb on my boat last year with LED bulbs from the NAV lights to the courtesy lights. I like fishing at night and the LEDs draw a lot less current. Here is another website that has a replacement LED bulbs for every type of bulb you need. http://www.superbrightleds.com/

:welcome Congrats on your new purchase. I can't tell you anything about the newer hull design but I've heard many good things. My "88" rides like a dream and that comes from the many that have been on my boat. Best of luck to you!
