    265 Express performance

I ran my '05 265 with 225s for the first four years that I had it, got hit with undetected exhaust corrosion that had reached the powerheads and opted for a total repower over replace the bad pieces and went with new 250s in 2015. Have been running the boat in both configurations on the...

What do you do with your rods while trailering?

I've got holders for up to 17/18 in the cabin. 3 on each bulkhead in the fold down holders, 3 on the starboard overhead, 2 a bit inboard on each side that go through those grommets up front (and can take 7-1/2' or better) and a total of five that go on the port overhead (there's a mismatch...

Hatch Hinges - 265 Express (but probably common across a lot of models)

Didn't think to take a picture which would probably make this easier but I'm looking for information on the hinges that connect the two pieces of the smoked acrylic that form the upper hatch cover for the entry into the cabin on my 265. The hinges are intact but the hinge pin from one is...

New in box Helm Cover 265 Express

Pics of the summer cover on my 265 for reference.

    265 Express AC

Do both the head sink and the galley sink drain overboard? I had it in my head that they both went into the shower sump or forward bilge but guess I need to go look at the schematic again. That would make things easier for sure.

New in box Helm Cover 265 Express

If I can remember I'll get a picture of mine when I get down to the boat later today but on the 265 the optional summer cover uses the same snap points as the curtain set and runs all the way around the top of the glass, over the two aft facing seats and down to cover the fish box. It's great...

    265 Express AC

I haven't but am interested to hear how it goes. I still use the fridge, nice to always have a cold beverage available, but AC would be really nice as well. The raw water pickup for the head is right there in the cabin sole and could be an easy enough place to access. I know this will freak...

    New Electronics

Gutted everything and went with all Raymarine when I did mine a couple years ago. Pair of 12" Axioms in the dash (one Pro, one regular), Quantum wi-fi Radar (never had any connection issues), new AP setup, dual sounders, dual networks (RayNet and SeTalkNG), etc. Added a FLIR a year later...

    SCAD tank level monitor

I like it. Wondering if the indicator lights would be a distraction when running in the dark, I've got a roll of electrical tape in the glove box for this problem but is there a cover or can the brightness be adjusted?

    265 first ocean run

Actuators are custom as noted and the stock kits you can buy online won't work without modification (and not even sure about that). I had mine done by the Grady dealer, think it was $800 something all told, about half of that was labor. When I looked into doing it myself I imagined a lot of...

    Powerwinch 300 Capstan

    Great to hear, thanks.

    SCAD tank level monitor

I've been looking to do the same and this was a leading candidate. Good idea about the sensor up on the dash. How big is the display? I'm likely going to redo my instrument panel (again) and could incorporate this into the planning.

    265 first ocean run

I went all Raymarine when I redid the electronics a couple years ago as their 12" MFDs will fit a flush mounted 265 dash with only a little cutting required and I wasn't convinced Garmin would fit as they were taller units. Very happy with the total package to include the AP.

    Fresh water tank cap

I lost a fuel cap and used the fresh water tank as a temporary replacement until I got a new one. They were the same Perko cap just with a different marking. Got my replacement fuel cap from West Marine.

    265 first ocean run

I may be a bit of a pariah in the 265 family but I do use my tabs - albeit sparingly. I also added a trim tab indicator a couple seasons ago so I'd have a better idea of where they're at. Without one I never quite knew if I'd gotten them fully retracted just by the sound of the pump and now...
