I read on the Nizpro website that the tune for the 225 and 250 makes a significant difference, but on the 300 not so much other than a slight mpg improvement. Probably not worth the money on the 300.

If true, sounds like they just tuned it a bit. No major structural or mechanical changes. Kind of like how the SeaDoo GTI 130 and 170 have the exact same engine (I have one of each), but the 130 is basically "detuned". I have heard that the F300 can be tuned pretty easily up to around 330-340hp.

Something is preventing the engine from reaching 6000rpm as advertised. The 300 tops out at 5800. The 350 says 6000. Here's a screenshot from the 235 website.

It has to be the prop. You should easily hit 45+ with a 350. According to the GW website, the 350 should hit 48 at 6000rpms. You also might want to download a GPS speed app on your phone to verify the speed. I have noticed there is usually a 1-2 MPHs difference between the display speed and...

Have you tried various engine trim positions? Gotta raise that engine up as far as possible to get top speed. The day I got 48 in the picture I posted earlier was probably absolutely dead calm, flat, me by myself, low fuel, no wind or a good tail wind. 45 is pretty typical for top speed.

300. Do you have a 235? If you can only get 38mph something is wrong.

I just keep the Cooper anchor in the livewell now. Easier to get to.

I've been looking for a 285 in the Florida Panhandle and they are very scarce. That 307 is a foot wider than the 285 (which is already pretty wide) and almost 2000lb heavier...but has the same twin 300 engines. That might be a concern. Those 30'+ Grady DCs are beasts. Probably a little...

Gas cap came in today and it fit perfectly! Did not bother attaching that stupid plastic leash. Just going to be more careful filling up and put the cap in a safe place. Also ordering a second cap as a spare in the boat tool box.
