I went with a SURVITEC 6 man offshore Rescue Case, I went with the valise version. I have gone 120-132 miles offshore, but normally only 65-75. I have all the safety toys, EPIRB, etc.

How often do you guys check your lower unit oil? I had to put a new lower unit on my Marlin yesterday. We lost the port engine lower unit last week on the return from our 1 day snapper season. When we checked it, it was completely dry. We had changed it in March, only had 90 hours on it.

So I bit the bullet and ordered the new Evolution Helm chair from Pompanette for my 2007 Marlin. The base of the old one cracked and it will not tighten so it spins. What radar do you guys recommend for finding birds ? My two nephews are struggling with an old Simrad that is of no use.

My starboard F-250 did the same thing, there are three cam position sensors on the back of the engine. I replaced all three and no problems since.

I hung a dead seagull from the outrigger, that worked until my wife saw it.

I have Allstate. I bundled boat with the cars, been pretty happy with them so far.....knock on wood!
