    What kind of hours do you rack-up?

    This year has been a tough year for us due mostly offshore winds, only 60 hours. However we usually put between 100-150 engine run time. In the 18 years we have had our Marlin, we averaged 135 hours.

    I have used The Evergreen Pacific Publishing's LOG BOOK for 25+ years. It is easy to log trips, fuel, and maintenance. I get them at West Marine.

    Her's the follow up: I tried all sorts of cleaners to no avail. What worked was Starbrite Premium Restorer Wax. Now the hull needs a good buffing :)

    I don't think so. I have had 1000 hour twice, tech's never said anything about break in needed.

    Recommendations on six person life raft

    I went with a SURVITEC 6 man offshore Rescue Case, I went with the valise version. I have gone 120-132 miles offshore, but normally only 65-75. I have all the safety toys, EPIRB, etc.

    Lower unit oils

    How often do you guys check your lower unit oil? I had to put a new lower unit on my Marlin yesterday. We lost the port engine lower unit last week on the return from our 1 day snapper season. When we checked it, it was completely dry. We had changed it in March, only had 90 hours on it.
