    Question on thermostat Yamaha S150??

I was out with a friend on his Adventure 208 and we noticed water coming out of the cowling on his 1999 Yamaha S150 TXRX. He later send me the attached photo. It looks like a thermostat but I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this and any tips on replacing. Also, what may have...

    Really stumped on gas gauge

I am sure they didn't decide to make it a pink ground, they made it that way to may a simple job for me MUCH more difficult! That is the way things work for me.

    Really stumped on gas gauge

Thanks for the post. It is working fine now that I switched the wires. I took it for a run on Saturday and the gauge worked great. I burned about 1/4 tank and the gauge reflected it. I filled up and everything worked out.

    Really stumped on gas gauge

I called WEMA and was told that they use the pink lead as a common ground and the black is the sending unit. This is the exact opposite of Grady. Reversed the connection on the sending unit and it worked!!

    Really stumped on gas gauge

I bought the new sending unit and when I hooked it up the gauge pegged empty (actually below empty). The tank is full (visual inspection when I had the sending unit out). I tested the wires from the tank by connecting pink to black and the gauge pegs full which tells me the wiring is Ok...

    Kicker motor fuel line

Thank you for the pics. That helps. I'm still having varnish fuel problems but it is getting better. When I completely eliminate the fuel problems I'm going to have both engines run off the main tank. Right now the kicker motor is my insurance policy as well as a kicker motor.

    Fuel Tank Sending Unit

As usual I had thought the number would be important. Went out and pulled it out again and ordered from WEMA. Thanks for the information. I was reading the instructions for installation and it mentions calibration. Did you have to do any calibration?

    Fuel Tank Sending Unit

I noticed the last time I filled my tank it only showed 3/4 of a tank. I pulled out the sending unit today and found that no matter how much fuel is in the tube it measures 3/4 of a tank. I tested the connection between the sending unit and the gauge with a multi-meter and it appears fine...

    Replacing scupper tubes

I also have a tool I purchased online. Where are you located? I'm in Virginia. I'd be willing to loan it to you. Works great!

    Good SS Thru Hull

I did buy them direct but they told me right off the bat that Grady does not want them selling direct. I "talked them in to it" since my local dealer did not want to get involved. I live about 60 miles from the dealer and he said it was just "too much hassle". I had to pay a fee for them...

    Kicker motor fuel line

Thanks to everyone. I plan on using a primer bulb for the kicker motor so I'm going to find the 3 way valve. I think that is the safest. I also plan on using a "quick connect" similar to the one on the existing tank. I'll submit photos of this when I get done.
