Congrats! I purchased a 2004 Islander last year as well. I have changed over and added some items too. As far as the electronics go, I wish GW had a better setup for a dashboard style for flush mounting; but back then most of these electronics didn't exist. I'm in the process of using the "cubby...

    Refit of 2002 282 - It begins

My 2004 F225's passed over the rainbow this summer and I repowered with Suzuki 200's (270 Islander) and it wasn't nice writing that check, but so far it seems like the best decision ever, super quiet, easy to maintain, etc. Good luck, I think you will probably be happy with your new Zukes too.

    Repowering

Well I think I now know what I want on my Christmas wish list. The dealer told me that the new motors come with SS 3 blade props. I have another boat that I can use the old props on, but would rather sell them, because that means I banged up the prop on the other boat! Thanks for the input...

Thanks I will mention that. I'm on my way there soon to install a new transducer while it's being worked on. Luckily the surveyor found very little moisture in the transom last November. I'm of course hoping nothing has changed over the winter and sadly the boat has spent most of the season on a...

BTW, my Islander started out in Ohio for her first 12 years. I like to think it benefited greatly from running in freshwater.

    Repowering

Thanks again, I might have to wait a bit on another set of props, spent a lot of money on boats lately and hopefully the new set of props I recently purchased for other motors are going to be ok on the Suzukis, fingers crossed.

Thanks, I will definitely look into those. Looks like a great setup you have there.

    Repowering

I pulled the trigger this morning on a pair of Suzuki 200's and luckily was able to get all the digital stuff. I'm sure it's going to be much smoother than the 225 Yamis that are being replaced. Last day of rebates didn't hurt either.

    Docking restaurants North Shore?

That's a great idea. I'm always looking for boat accessible places. My wife doesn't partake in much fishing, but definitely loves visiting restaurants, bars etc by boat. Luckily there's a few places in and around Boston where you can tie up for a while. It would be very nice to have a guide of...

Restaurants with dockage on Buzzards Bay

Stonebridge Bar and Grill next to Stonebridge Marine in Onset (Wareham) is a decent place to eat and tie up. As mentioned, before there are some other great restaurants within walking distance in Onset.
