    Repower a 2001 22 Seafarer

I had a soft top 228g with a 2002 200hp V6 4T, it was just enough but could use more power, don’t get a 4cyl 200 it will be underpowered, go with the 250 you will love it.

    2001 248 voyager issues

MY 02 with a ox66 250 runs great, had problems getting the back end up enough but I realized trimming the bow up a bit and the motor corrects that, in terms of features, it’s a lot better then my last 228g but I do still like the design of the 228 hull a bit more, just different

2000 Grady White 208 Adventure for sale $12k - not mine

Boat seems priced about right if it has lower hours “under 700” but can be solid with over that “if maintained”. Make sure the hull is solid and floor has no soft spots or flex, trailers are expensive so unless it’s being dry stacked at your Marina you will need one and they can be expensive...

    High pressure flushing

when I take my flush port off the motor *looking at back of motor* I have to screw it to the right almost like a reverse thread, I tilt the flush port up mimicking the motor connection and tighten the screw on to the hose turning left, is this correct?

One clean spark plug, 5 dirty. Why?

I’m not an expert by any means but usually a clean plug means you are burning water which steam cleans the cylinder/plug, the only other stuff would be oil/ gas which would dirty it, I’ve heard of some of these older ox66 motors like I have getting a leak in the head gasket but maybe other...

    High pressure flushing

Strange question but does flushing your outboard with to high of pressure cause any harm? 3 times I’ve ran the hose fully open on the flush port “02 ox66 250” and have been wondering why the pee stream is so strong with some water coming back out the connector, Seems like my Marina re did the...

    Hit dock a little hard

I’ve just never heard a cracking sound like that, but entire leading edge of dock is cracking and wood looks bad from salt water so that’s probably what it was, side of boat looks the same as before no marks and white

    Hit dock a little hard

It hit the main hull “under the stripe” at a 45, I didn’t get it sideways enough to be parallel with the dock, where I hit looks the same as before white and perfect, the dock did have cracking all along the leading edge “not from me” so that’s probably what I heard

    Hit dock a little hard

New to me 248 “I've had 2 Grady’s before” The other day me and my buddy are docking in and out of neutral at a lower speed but faster then usual, I jumped off and the front hull hit at a 45 degree angle, I heard a cracking sound but when I looked, zero damage to my boat and the dock was cracking...

    1987 GW Offshore 24 (242GS): 200 HP 4-stroke OB too small?

    I have a 228g with a 200 4 stroke v6 and it’s fairly slow but has plenty of torque, I do 32 at 5500 wot

    1990 Grady 228g feels slow

I think that this is the problem cause the Calvation plate on the motor or whatever it’s called sits right under the water but when the bracket is drained it rides just on top when I open her up.
