I did the stern and the hull sides.

Looks great.

If your plan is to use this as a fishing boat then hands down it is the 2005. Whatever small changes were made down below will not override the fish box in the transom. Otherwise, you got a very large cooler in the middle of the cockpit.

I just called finaddict marine and told them what I needed, they told me how much and I think it was a week later I drove to their shop and picked up the insert.

I've had black and dark blue. Black seems to hold up better and of course maintains its color. Blue tends to show the fading sooner.

I replaced the arms and blades at O'Reilly's Auto.

Had the same question so I called Grady White. Their comment was the euro transom on those early models was not designed to withstand the weight of current four strokes. Their suggestion for me was the newer Mercury Four Strokes. So, that's what I did and haven't look back. The old two stroke...

FWIW...I have a 94 272 with the euro transom like yours with the same Yamaha 200 2strokes. I called Grady and they told me my ONLY option (due to weight) was the Mercury Four Strokes. The old two stroke Yami's weighed in at about 440. The Mercury V6 four stroke weighs in at 475. The 200 and 225...

I have a 272 and mine is located on the starboard side right behind the access panel in rear of the lower berth.

I went with the Mercury 225's w/ fly by wire. Can't say enough good things about these engines and systems. I'm very pleased.
