I get one most years and have never had it as an issue until the last one. I still have not attached the bell to the boat. I have it wrapped in cloth and stowed away. Maybe the auxiliary member was mistaken?

I failed a CG AUX courtesy boarding last year bc I did not have a bell of a 28 Sailfish. I had one stowed away but they said it has to be attached.

I never purchased an extended warranty and have had 5 Yamahas ( 2 sets of Twins and a single f225, f250) over 21 years and never had an issue that he warranty would have had to pay anything - basically just maintenance.

Was the source of the water the bang cap? Looks great so far!

How did it come out?

I had a an 05 Gufstream and it was powered with F225. There was never really an underpower issue. If the budget allows, it a little more speed and power is always nice. Twin 150's would be great . 300 certainly a big upgrade over 225. Good luck i- 23 is a great boat for it's size.

I have not had the pleasure of completing this task as mine is still in decent shape. That mid berth wall supplies a lot of access to wiring and water hose to the cabin area too.

When I had F225 3.3 engines on my SF it had the same props as you 15 1/4 x 19 ansd I would get 5000RPMs. When I put new 4.2 L f250 on it we stayed with 15/1/4 x 19 bc Yamaha had a back order on props. We were only getting around 5000 RPMs. Eventually change props to 15 1/2 x 17 and we popped up...

Also Consider once you dig in / oper her up you are likely to find more issue - fuel tanks, wiring etc. As someone said - everything is repairable - how much time and money make it worthwhile. Good Luck

Bought mine a few years old and it was blue. Went with black hydro coat and it looks great.
