I have a Lowrance LCX110c GPS/Sonar unit that will not lock onto any satellites out of the blue. I have tried "autoSearch", resetting all options, checked the wiring, etc. Any suggestions/Tips for troubleshooting?

I have a 98 209 wiuth a Yamaha 175 Saltaeterseries. The boat has bennett trim tabs. I don't use them often as the boat trims itself pretty well with the engine trim, but when there are multiple people shifting around they come in extremely useful. Great to have when needed!

Has anyone made use of these add on Anode kits that go on the outboard lip of the tabs? They are set up to be used with existing holes but my lifts arms attach there directly as well. Is it just a longer bolt which attaches through all?

Looking to replace my stereo and also add another set of speakers. Have 2 5"round speakers in the console underneath the steering wheel any suggestions on a good location for a 2nd set?

I have always stored my boat with a full tank and gas stabilized. I have heard many mention that due to the Ethanol problems, it is better to store it half full, gas stabilized. The theory being that it is better to mix in fresh gas in the spring. Which is best?

The scratches aren't deep- they have been caused by the plastic window from the enclosure rubbing against it. The previous owner did not have anything separating the two from rubbing against each other...the plastic from the enclosure has scratches as well

Does anyone know of anything that can be used to try and get rid of abrasion scratches on the plastic windshields?

I am running a 99 Yamaha 175 Saltwater Series. On the last few cold start ups, the alarm stays on for 15-20 seconds then goes away. Once warm the alarm does not stay on when restarting the engine. Could this be the oil reservoir refilling itself after being in the tilted up "out of water"...

175 I am about to take delivery on a 99 209 with a 175HP Saltwater Series. Doing a sea trial before I take opwnership. COmpression was done and it is all fine. Should the max RPM's be in the same ballpark of 5200-5500?

I just did this last week - WD40 and cheap plastic putty knife - worked like a charm. Removed remaining sticky residue with more wd40 and sponge
