That is a great looking boat with a killer paint job . I have always love the 265 but you have taken it to another level .

Strata glass will shrink less than clear vinyl . So if you are putting them on when it is cold the Strata is worth every penny . I have had both and hands down I will always choose the Strata .

My 86 Offshore with cut transom and 225 Honda on the back has its 93 gallon tank is in the rear compartment . The front compartment is empty

I tow my 24 ft Offshore with 2010 Chev. Silverado with a 5.3 L and 3.42 gears without an issue . The pulling is not a problem but make sure of the brakes on the trailer . Well maintained disc brakes on the trailer are the way to go .

I have a 1986 Grady Offshore with a 225 Honda that gets 2.5 to 3 mpg . I think it is a great match for the boat . Cruises easily at 25 to 30 and WOT 38 to 40 . Mike

I want to install a windlass on my 24 Offshore and was wondering which is better horizontal or vertical ? I believe horizontal might better functioning but vertical is a cleaner installation . Any opinions

I have a 86 Offshore with a 225 Honda and I love the economy and performance . The ride is not too bad if you are smart and not try not to run too fast in seas over 3 ft .I have trim tabs also which help .

Ask the question on breezeworks.net .The guys on that forum know really know their stuff about the mercruiser 470 That pertronix unit needs a certain voltage to work properly usually wired off the choke feed wire . But ask on the other forum to be sure .Good Luck

The 470 is a good economic engine but needs more TLC then other engines. The cooling system is one number on maintenance the reservoir gasket ,antifreeze change.and draining the water pump should be done every two years. If the camshafts seals have not been changed they will have to be...
