    The mods and improvements

You've obviously changed out your prop on the 200 Yammy to a 4 blade..What make and size/pitch? How do you keep water from running into the water tank space with a hatch ? I have the same boat (2009) and would like to use the water tank space for storage, but don't want water in the dry bilge.

how to connect NMEA 2000 TO GARMIN

I have a single engine, and yes, plugged into multiport on the inside of transom. It came with a 15 Ft. cable so I had to add a short NMEA 2K cable to reach my under dash 2K backbone. Not sure what you need for twin motor setup.I'm sure one of the big electronic sales companies or Garmin can set you up.

Best prop for Grady 208 Adventure Hardtop

I just checked the height, the top bolt is on the second hole from top.The cavitation plate doesn't look far off,but might be worth trying a bit higher.Seems that the 17P is pretty standard on these no matter which motor. Thanks

Best prop for 2009 Grady 208 Adventure Hardtop

I bought this boat last October and haven't run it since my seatrial (too cold). At seatrial it wouldn't rev above 5300 WOT with a 15 1/2 x 17T SWS stainless prop on the Yamaha F225.I think it should rev higher with the right prop.It sits and rides very slightly stern heavy with the 225 and a...

Best prop for Grady 208 Adventure Hardtop

I bought my first Grady last October and haven't run it yet other than seatrial (it's cold where I am).It wouldn't go above 5300 RPM at seatrial with a 15 1/2 x 17T SWS prop on a 2009-Yamaha F225. I'm thinking it should rev higher with the right prop. It's slightly stern heavy with the 225 and a...

    new grady

Agree with ^^^^^ .I'm on the Canadian side of the border,Victoria/Vancouver Island,we see lots of Grady's here, some are charter boats but hardly ever see an open CC obviously because of our weather. It looks like the east coast(US) has mostly open boats for the same reason.I wonder how many...

    new grady

They missed the mark with the new 218 as far as west coast guys are concerned, only available with a single motor and no place for a kicker to be mounted on the integral swim step. The 228 is a much better design. Not surprising really, they are selling to their biggest market ,the south east US.I...

    Finally!!

Thanks for that info,I'll see how it works out for my boat and decide whether I need to reprop.

    Finally!!

I'd be curious to know your old speed/RPM numbers with the F225. I have the same prop 15 1/2 x 17 on my 208 Adventure w/F225 and it's way slower than what your getting.

    Show Us Your Grady

Judging by these pictures ,Grady owners take much better care of their boats than other brands. This is my new to me 2009-208 Grady Adventure (October) that I haven't even got wet yet other than sea trial, 270 Hrs on her.Too cold where I am right now.

    Steering kicker on Adventure 208

"Trapper",I did make my own but used 3/8" stainless 316 rod and threaded the ends to fit the Marinetech ball joints. I've only owned the Grady since October,so I've been trying to think of worthwhile upgrades. I live in Victoria,B.C in the PNW and we have to deal with strong tides while fishing...
