I bought my first Grady last October and haven't run it yet other than seatrial (it's cold where I am).It wouldn't go above 5300 RPM at seatrial with a 15 1/2 x 17T SWS prop on a 2009-Yamaha F225. I'm thinking it should rev higher with the right prop. It's slightly stern heavy with the 225 and a 9.9 kicker on port side, would a 4 blade (what pitch?) prop help with stern lift?
I'm sure that all the 208 owners have come to some consensis about what prop works best on these boats, there were lots sold. Thanks for any/all advise.Ray OOps wrong forum.

14-1/2 x 17 3 blade stainless on mine. 200hp, kicker, hardtop. Can’t remember wot as I normally run at 25 to 30 mph.

Check that motor height! Very common for them to be mounted too low and my boat came mounted too low with a 15 pitch to make up for the drag.

I spin a 15 1/2 x17 3 blade on my seafarer with a 225 that pushes right to 6000rpm if i trim up. Also have a 15 x 17 yamaha you could try if we can meet up.

We have chatted on the sportfishing BC site before.

I just checked the height, the top bolt is on the second hole from top.The cavitation plate doesn't look far off,but might be worth trying a bit higher.Seems that the 17P is pretty standard on these no matter which motor. Thanks
