Unfortunately the boat is large (Marlin 300). It is heavy enough that I can't get it to budge on the trailer after I haul it out at all even with the bunks wet. I am a bit worried about how hard I can crank on the winch too... not sure how strong the bow eye is.

Hi Randy. We have been thinking about that trip for years. We finally have a boat that we would feel safe using to do it. I don't think this coming up June (2022) is likely. Probably the following year (2023) is more realistic for us. I would rather go in the presence of another boat or two...

Thanks Ted. I did a bit more research too. Spoke with dealer in Abbotsford (Riverside). They say 25 hp with the longer leg does fit (I think they may add a bracket on the port side). As for the Helm Master; nope, doesn’t work with just kicker.

LOL sounds like I should maybe consider going over to the dark side and dumping my bunks for posts...

Hi Stony; I have side bunks and love them. They allow me to launch and recover easily by myself without assistance and really help to center the bow forward on the trailer if there is any cross wind at all. Either way, bunks or poles, probably one of the best devices ever to reduce frustration...
