    222 scupper flapper size

I’ve searched the forums on here, but haven’t found exactly what I’m looking for. I wanted to reduce the amount of water I’m getting in the cockpit so I replaced my scupper flappers with 1-⅝” from the marine store (the universal 3 size pack they sell). The 1-⅝”, smallest size I can readily...

    Price check

I bought the same boat for 35k with a few more hours. Mine came with hard top, half curtains, and trailer and in very good condition. Bought last fall from North Carolina. There normally aren’t many 222 available, looked for 6 months, and the most common price range I saw was 35-45k, but I only...

    Sanipottie Head

Doesn’t look like anyway to open it up from what I can see. Figured I’d need to just replace it, but figured I’d throw the problem out there before I did in case I was missing something.

New guy with a new (to me) 222 Fisherman

I bought a 2007 with Yamaha 250 back in October. Love it. I have a few threads on the boat and things I’ve done. Feel free to hit me up if you have any questions.

    Sanipottie Head

Hey guys, this is a long shot, but I wanted to see if anyone has had this issue or has a solution other than buying a new head. I bought a GW 222 a couple of months ago and it has a portable head in it, that is also plumber to a macerator. I filled the freshwater reservoir today, but it is...

    Repowering a 2000 222 fisherman.

I have a 250 on my 222 and I love it. She scoots we’ll even with 6 people on board. I do get a little water in the cockpit with 3 people in the cockpit, going to replace scupper flaps and see if that helps. I wonder if anyone has put a 300 on being that they are lighter.

    2000 222 fisherman

I purchased a 2007 222 back in October. I have a few threads detailing things I’ve done. I removed dash and flush mounted raymarine axiom 12”, fusion radio and installed 4 jl 770 speakers. I’ve only taken it out twice and both turned into incredibly snotty days on the Chesapeake bay. It earned...

    Console Speaker Clearance

Here is the finished product for the console speakers. I had to use 2 spacers to make up the 1-¼” difference. Trimmed Out out of Florida was very responsive and awesome to work with. When I completely redo my dash I’m calling them. Biggest issues was the stainless steel screws from Home Depot...

    Console Speaker Clearance

Wanted to update for anyone planning to install 770 speakers on a 222 in the future. Ended up buying a hole saw to cut the speaker cutouts. Bout a 6-⅜ for $30 versus buying the recommended 6-¼ hole day for $100. Used a hammer drill, started in reverse and worked out fine. For the existing...

    Console Speaker Clearance

Update for anyone who runs into this problem. I found spacer rings on eBay for under $50 for a pair. They come predrilled in any size you need. For more, you can get LED spacer rings.

    GW 222

Antique white. Seems to match up pretty darn close, but it was dark and my boat is under a cover so I can’t tell 100%. I also bought cream, but that was too dark.

    Console Speaker Clearance

Thought about that, trying to avoid it, would like to maintain clean appearance if possible.

    Console Speaker Clearance

This issue may or not be exclusive to the 222. The speakers mounted into the console, lower part of the helm are original so I went to replace them with JL Audio mx650 speakers. Unfortunately, the JL speakers are too deep and don’t go in all the way bc they hit the plywood wall of the inside of...

    GW 222

Pro Dec screw caps worked out great. See pics below. I may still end up fixing the screw holes permanently down the line, but for $6, I couldn’t ask for anything better. For $20 piece of starboard and $6 in screw caps, I have a much improved dash. I wish the electronics were this cheap.
