I looked at a 06 Marlin the was wet on both sides a two foot by four area. The boat already had the transom replaced. They estimated the repair at 20 to 30k. Needless to say not buying it already had to replace the transom in my Islander.

I repowered my 1998 268 with twin F150’s the boat ran great. I think the 300 would be a perfect fit.

We fish the canyons out of NJ. I have never anchored while fishing just too deep. It may be possible up on the flats inside the canyon. If we chunk overnight we usually drift with a drift sock. The drift sock seems to always be in the way when we get a run off.
