    Dead rise

I’m going to install a new thru hull transducer and I need to know the dead rise at the stern. Can anyone help me with this? The boat is a 2007 Grady Sailfish 282.

    Bonding seacocks

Great ideas. I’m sure glad I keep moving my hardwood dowels from boat to boat for the last 30 years. You never know what may happen.

    Bonding seacocks

Seasick Thank you for your reply. It is a confusing and sometimes dangerous issue. I had just returned from a trip to the Bahamas a couple days earlier, when the seacock broke. I stayed in a marina that was known to have stray current problems from time to time. I can’t imagine what would have...

    Bonding seacocks

When changing my air conditioning pump last year I leaned on my livewell seacock and broke it off flush at the hull . I had all 3 seacocks in the stern replaced as a precaution . The broken one definitely had some type of corrosion going on , but the other 2 looked ok. My mechanic also bonded...

    Rod holder angle

Thanks for the great ideas . I think I’ll go with the 15 degree and angle it a little more than the front holder. I already moved the galvanic isolator to install a 0 degree swivel base for a deep drop rig , so it shouldn’t be a problem.

    Rod holder angle

I’m thinking about ordering a couple flush gunnel rod holders to my 2007 Sailfish 282. I’m not at the boat location and I’m wondering if anyone knows what the angle of the original existing rod holders are.

    Broken thru hull

What do you think could have caused all the growth in the previous pictures? Some sort stray current or galvanic corrosion. Which brings me back to my original post. What could have caused the thru hull to weaken.?

    Broken thru hull

I had all four anodes replaced two months ago when I had the bottom painted. These pictures are after I cleaned the growth off. Didn’t seem to find much corrosion on the bracket or lower unit.

    Broken thru hull

Sorry to DennisGO1. I’ll try to clarify. I meant all the ones I sent photos of. I have twin 250 Yamahas and the pictures were of each engine and the looked the same.
