This was a great site at one time. Its a piece of shit now with all the adds.
 
Your post subject is about a GW Marlin?

As far as the site goes, the only ad I see is the top banner ad (often for SIM Yamaha) that has pretty much always been there. I don't see anything different.
 
They added Google ads back several months ago and yes they were quite infuriating to where it would bog down/take up the entirety of the site/screen. That being said, if you donate to the site, the admins will turn off the ads, which I believe the minimum to donate is $10.

After 20 years of being Google ad free, I've have finally activated Google Ads on the website to help generate revenue. Visitors and members will see the ads during their visit, but for members who donate to the site in ANY amount, ads will not display for them. Thank you for your understanding!

The ad's are not the problem. You haven't posted since April of 2022. I m seeing a lot of "dead" GG members posting. Not sure how these accounts are being re-activated after years of inactivity. Lot's of "new" members too. Newly revived silly question one post members. The GG site has gotten boring in the last 6-months. I don't mind helping new owners out but it's really gotten stupid. I'm not replying to the dumb stuff. I really feel it's AI bot driven. Anymore I'll ask a few validation questions before responding unless I recognize the OP.

If you want your post responded to show that you at least did a GG search, include photo, ask an intelligent question. Help us help you unless of course your an AI bot using a hijacked GG account.

I didn't think it was AI, I just thought that we as a society were getting dumber. I know I have posted some stupid responses:)

Ha Ha Ha......That statement reminds me of the few times when I had been enjoying my favorite Irish Whisky the night before and in reading my posts on Great Grady of the night before were a bit rude, and thats being kind about it. :)
