Hello All,

After 20 years of being Google ad free, I've have finally activated Google Ads on the website to help generate revenue. Visitors and members will see the ads during their visit, but for members who donate to the site in any amount, ads will not display for them. Thank you for your understanding!

If we make a donation now, will the ads go away because it's awful, Some ads will not go away.
 
Yes, once I receive a donation, I will update your profile to a GreatGrady Captain and the Google ads will go away.
 
Hi Seasick, I just updated your account to GreatGrady Captain which removes the ads. You have donated in the past. Sorry about that mistake. Thank you for all your do for the site!
 
The big blue "Click Here to Continue" box locks up my computer, and directs me to call Apple support to unlock. Only a shutdown and a re-start clears it, so I predict that things like that, along with the ads, will be the death of this site, at least as far as new recruitment is concerned.
 
Glacierbaze, I know Google Ads are annoying but one donation of any amount to the site removes the ads.
 
I would be happy to donate , but I won’t use a credit card. How else can I donate?

I have been ad free for years with donations - recently I have been getting ads & don’t know how to get rid of them

Jeff, I just updated your account to 'GreatGrady Captain'. You won't see ads now. I believe your account never got the designation when you donated.

Wow not to complain but these adds are terrible.
 
Please keep in mind a donation for any amount will remove them for you.
 
The $10 was well worth it just to get rid of the ads alone, not to mention it goes towards helping the website, which is great as well. Money well spent.
