Ouch. That's truely terrible news. As a long time former BW employee, I am saddened that the whole Ritz entity is dissolving. David Ritz loved Ritz camera which has been a family business since his grandfather opened his 1st store.
The sad thing is is that BW was actually profitable. It is being sacrificed to salvage Ritz camera. Now you know why your CC statement sometimes said Ritz Camera on it. West is licking their overpriced chops.
I mounted 3" mini box speakers on the dash tucked back by the windshield to compliment 6.5" rear speakers. They are far enough away to not cause interference w/ the compass and with your hard top and enclosure should produce ample sound. They are plenty loud for my 228 w/o a top, IMHO. Posted...
I would pass, no question. 105-125 is too much of a PSI difference. there are too many boats in this market to take the financial risk. It would be one thing if the boat was filthy, you can look past that in your offer but the engines are the life of your boat.
228 every day of the week and twice on Sunday. It is Sunday, right? so...go buy a boat!
If you plan to do an overnight, the 228 has a "more spacious" cuddy. Not the Ritz by any stretch but you won't feel like you slept in a box.
Also, with the enclosed transom and centerline livewell...
I had the same concern about the gas fill/fuel neck. I was assured not to worry about it. I love the JBL's. Great sound-totally waterproof. Run a bead of silicon around the speaker b/4 mounting. Need a 6" hole saw to cut out for mounting (uses the same chuck and fits onto your standard drill)...
Heat shrink butt connects, ring/spade terminals, tubing, where ever there is a crimp. Ancor 16/14 gauge (blue package) and a lighter. Where the wiring harness comes off the back of the deck, all those wires need to be wired to it's corrosponding speaker and to a power source. (it's really easy)...
universal stickers & mini plackards are available at West & BW but I don't know if they match size, font, color, etc.. Good luck & post where you find them...I'm sure you're not alone!
check the seal on the running light. Mine went last year. Had to replace the light. Lens may also be cracked.
My 1st bet would be the bedding or seal in the stanchon.
I don't have a cover but I wax my entire cowling every season, it holds an awesome shine, really brings out the depth in the colors, water beads, no fading, bleaching, etc. Looks pretty darn good, IMHO
I have a 7" Lowrance so the Garmin should fit no problem. I also recommend putting the GPS in the electronics box. There should be ample room to mount the GPS and VHF side-by-side in the box. It will also be easier to connect wires between the two if you are going to set up the DSC in the VHF...
