    Fuel Filters

2 mic. would be OK IF you use it as a 3rd or 4th stage. If you use a 2 micron as a primary or secondary, it will clog. Work your way down to a 2 micron.

    just bought my first GW

yeah, a fresh water washdown would be pretty redundant on a lake! Raw water is on port side and fresh is on starboard. If you're not filling an aux. tank, it's raw. Sounds like you were patient, thorough & got a gem. Let's see some pics!

    just bought my first GW

seafarer Welcome! I have a '92 Seafarer w/ 250 SWS II. My fuel tank is 92 gal. I would be very surprised if your boat had an aux tank. Do you have a fresh water washdown? Pop off the aft-most inspection port. That's where my 12? gallon fresh water tank is. Main fuel tank is amidship. Aux. tank...

    which is better

I am a true Startron believer (in my Pathfinder, too). It doesn't just separate the water, it breaks it down. What I like best about it is that you can't overdose the fuel. Suggested ration but overdosing is not harmful. Read the labels on some of the others "DO NOT OVERTREAT". I find I am going...

what to do with an old fixer-upper? FIX IT UP!

FIXER Believe me, I would love nothing more than to see you get that puppy splashed! But I believe you're looking at a Pandora's Box. Michigan Brian makes the point. From the way you describe the boat, it needs more then a little TLC. I wouldn't go w/ the "if it floats, why mess w/ it"? b/c it...

engine Does the 2000 HPDI have the chip in it? If it does, Yamaha will be able to tell you history every minute that engine ran. Can't give an honest opinion of the hull. Put it this way, it's worth whatever you're willing to pay for it. GET IT SURVEYED.

    Kenwood stereo reception

I found something as simple as an antenna plugged in GREATLY improved the reception. Nothing elaborate- a telescoping one from BW or West literally dangling in the cuddy works. You'll be surprised! W/o the antenna, my scan would pick up maybe 1 station, sometimes just going over and over w/o...
