    87 offshore transom repair question?

long as you can't poke through anything you should be good, you could spray it after cleaning with some acetone but they would like come back as they are probably stress cracks from flexing/age, whatever.

    87 offshore transom repair question?

those pieces of plywood on either side wrapped in glass should be looked at. For me, the one on the left was split open like your one pic and there was rot so I am hitting it with git rot than wrapping it with some new glass.

Quick Question Bilge Pump Voyager 248 Help

definitely not! It actually weakens the connection and I believe promotes corrosion(I may be wrong here, but I think I read that somewhere in what not to do in boat wiring, boat wiring 101). adhesive lined shrink tube connections properly crimped with quality crimpers( I prefer the company with...

Quick Question Bilge Pump Voyager 248 Help

Yes it should be a snap in fit provided it is replaced with same. Before replacing you could check the leads for corrosion, check to see the float is operating properly and make sure the strainer for bilge pump is not clogged. You will find a lot of stuff comes loose over the years down in there...

Repower...What To Do With Oil Filler

I don't know what is on the other side but I would pull all off that stuff out and patch in those holes. I assume there is access to the tank on the other side, if so you could modify that area for tackle storage or an additional live well perhaps. If I lived closer I could help you spend more...

    Windows

I have taken out all 4 windows. I took apart 1 sliding window and it was a bear to get all the old plastic parts out. I would like to be able to put it all back together myself but my gut is saying send them out to a pro. Right now I haven't broken anything yet, I think. :)

    Windows

After spending the afternoon taking one window apart I realize I am in over my head with this project. At least I did not break any glass. Is there somewhere to send them to have them rebuilt? I apologize in advance if this is already covered somewhere in another post

    boat junk yards ?

Thanks all. Doesn't it seem like there is money out there to be made? With all the restoring going on it would be nice to be sitting on piles of parts now. A repairable bow pulpit and matching rail would be my dream pieces as anchor storage is a bit of a pain in the rear.

    boat junk yards ?

Does anyone know of any places in new jersey where you can go to look for salvage parts for boats, a boat junk yard? Where do all the boats go after the storms we've had? is there any business numbers that I can call to look for parts. thanks all.

    Black window trim material

I believe I found the stuff through the post of common questions. Look at Steele Rubber products, marine products. I looked at their stuff this morning and they seem to have what I need as well as what family affair is looking for. I saw this company on a car show once and they did mention they...

    over heating issue

as close to the center line as possible but I didn't realize that meant out of the way of the prop. this is my first boat with a bracket drive. i thought with the engine back i would be fine. Not so much. I have wide trim tabs on the back so I'm hoping i will have room to move them, I have...

    over heating issue

So I got the boat in and when running at wot it began to over heat. Beyond the temp coming up it felt like i was dragging an anchor. So cruising at 3600 rpm or so it seems fine except terribly slow at about 15 mph. When I was back in my slip at idle the warning sound went off again. Both times I...
