Does anyone know how to remove this cosmetic steering wheel hub nut without scuffing it up? I need to access the real nut that holds the steering wheel in place to remove the wheel to check a fluid leak.
I have a 2011 225.I’m 6 feet and when standing at helm, I believe I’m looking over windshield. Sitting in helm seat, I’m behind the the windshield. I’m very happy with the boat.

The bracket had factory paint under the zinc. Note the picture. The old corroded zinc still retains the original size and very close to the weight of the replacement.

I have a Freedom 225 with a 250 and don't know the exact top speed, but it's plenty fast even with the added weight of a hardtop. I'd think a 225 would be adequate. A 200, maybe.
Does anyone have any suggestions on vinyl repairs for small cuts or tears? My affected areas are in seats and bolsters that are not easily removed so I'd prefer to try to repair it myself.
Looks similar if not worse than my 225. I had to lay on my stomach, reaching out to lift batteries , tilt them forward and out of the opening. Scraped some of the insulation off of the cooler bottom, but managed to get them out. Glad I don’t have to do it often.
My 225 has an Armstrong bracket/platform with the same plastic plug on underside. First time I removed it with a wrench, I inadvertently rounded it to where I needed pliers to fully remove it. I replaced it with a generic PVC threaded plug from a hardware store. Though it seems to fit properly...
