    Gratitude

Fair enough. Like you I'm retired and own a Grady but don't consider myself old yet. But we have to agree that social media can be unruly to say the least. I would bet the majority of the people on THT are on the entire Gulf Coast around Florida up to the Carolinas. I know there is a lot of...

    Gratitude

I love THT, but mostly for entertainment value and you have to weed out the good with the bad. You have a little more leeway and if you post something controversial or political then you are fair game. If your feelings get hurt that easy you may not want to go there.

    Any New Zealand owners here?

Everyone is welcome to leave, round up as many as you can and go somewhere else where the police won't beat you up or worse.

Why are Grady's so popular in eastern Long Island and what is it like in your area?

Brought mine over to Orange Beach, Al/ Perdido, FL area last week which included the 4th. I saw more Grady's in one day than I have seen total in the 3 years I have owned mine. But I also seen more boats than I ever have. It was busier than normal because of the boat parade for the President.

    Tournament In Floor Storage

Chances are no. My 2011 205 is the same way, lots of open bilge under the deck.

    2020 Grady White Freedom 215

I have the Freedom 205 which the 215 replaced. I can give you my respective because I have to believe the 215 would be a little better being they increased the length and widened the beam by 5 inches. Far as getting wet, like any boat, it depends. Usually if you are up on a plane with bow up it...

    Small Offshore Comparison’s

If you live in Florida get the 215. The small cuddy is nothing but a oven most of the time. The dual console is the way to go. You can get the front and side curtains if you get caught in the rain.

    Small Offshore Comparison’s

I would say the 215 for the fact it is a larger hull. It replaced the 205 and widened the beam by 5 inches. The 208 is the same as the 205.

Like a kid waiting on Christmas...

This is my boat stored in a 12' ft section of my carport. The slab is 12 ft but I have an 18" overhang on one side and a solid wall on the other. This leaves me with about 20 inches on both sides from outside of tires. So if your boat is wider and your shelter taller, believe me it will not keep...

    Can't Post Pics

So is there not a way to upload with a Android smartphone any longer? Use to be able to but not anymore. I tried multiple ways but no luck.

Like a kid waiting on Christmas...

I can tell you 12' is not wide enough for that type of shelter. Now if it had a overhang on both sides that would be better but usually they include that with the width so nothing gained there. The only way that would be adequate is to run a full sheet horizontal along the full lengths of each...

    Can't Post Pics

The last few times I have tried to upload a picture from my camera it will not allow me. Like the file is too large, not doing anything different from when I was able to. Any ideas?

    1988 Overnighters

If you are 100% sure that the marina in Florida checked out the motor and determined it was solid I would mention their name. On the other hand what where they obligated to do, did you pay for a service? If all they did was look at it and said it looks OK with nothing in writing probably not...

    Testing Bilge Float Switch

You guys got me thinking, climbed back up in the boat and pulled the access cover up and still have some water standing up forward. This is after jacking the trailer where the trailer jack wheel was 5 inches off the ground from the max extended position. Shined a bright light and what do you...

    Testing Bilge Float Switch

Yes that is what I did and it works fine. I was just pointing out in my initial quote that I have neglected to test it because it doesn't get enough water in the bilge to activate the switch, I have the new type without the lever so filling I was also able to see if the pump is working properly...

    Testing Bilge Float Switch

Yes I have the latter. I know I was always able to test my other ones by lifting the arm but this type is new to me.

    Testing Bilge Float Switch

Going on my third season with my new to me 2011 Freedom 205. Next month I will be trailering it over to Orange Beach, Al where I rented a condo with a boat slip. Never kept this boat in the water for more than a day and never got enough water in the bilge for the bilge pump to come on. Have to...
