Check that your trailer is designed for drive on. Some aluminium trailers with bunks are float-on only. Driving on can damage the trailer.

Clean your own boat? Try this.

I ceramic coated the non skid. It’s a bit more slippery than the chalky non-skid but no more than new non-skid. It’s so easy to clean. Hose off and go over with a microfibre cloth and mild detergent. No scrubbing required.

I wouldn’t be surprised if it bow rail would fit as is. The Gulfstream and the Seafarer bow pulpit, bow rail extensions are the same item.

Spreader lights and dome lights work. Spotlight and remote work. White wire hanging above id from the loud hailer which broke off during transit and I am not using. The black went to the fuse board. The white and red to the short brown wire above the fuse board. Looking at the cut crimp ends on...

Any Ideas What These Wires Are For.

When I imported the boat the radar mount was removed. That meant the radar, anchor light and loud hailer were disconnected. I thought these wires had something to do with the radar as they are not for the loud hailer or anchor lights. When I remounted the radar it worked without these wires...

Trimtabs - Magic Bill will be happy

My 228 is the first boat I’ve had with trim tabs. I played around with the tabs for a while for bow up and down but went back to using the motor and using the tabs to counter any lean due to cross wind etc.

No new glass or gelcoat. Did it all myself. I machine compounded the gelcoat with areas of wet sanding where oxidization was worst and then ceramic coated it.

    No top end power

Have you checked the fuel lines under the cowling for kinks blockages, etc? Had a similar issue. Was a kinked fuel line coming off the under cowl, fuel/water separating filter.

Cost for thorough cleaning and ceramic coating interior/exterior 1988 22' Seafarer Cuddy Cabin

US$1850 (AUD$2400) is a good price. At that price I wouldn't have done it myself. I was quoted AUD$5500 here is Australia. (Working for an American company make me aware abot how much more labor costs are here.) Doing it myself cost AUD$3300 and now have 3 polishers and other equipment for...

    ECOS Switch lanyard length

Have a "Fell" ordered. In terms of a lanyard. Something similar to the retractable dog leads may work. No slack, as long as the spring tension doesn't pull the clip on the kill switch.

You watch. Next trip a marlin will decide to rough-up the gelcoat with it’s bill. I know first world problems.

Unless the surveyor actually looks at the boat in question they really don’t have a clue.
