    Boating to Bimini

I want to check to see if anyone was planning to head over to Bimini from FLL this summer. I’m planning to go with the family in a GW235, and checking to see for any buddy boats. Thinking about late June 2025. Thanks.

Wiring in GW 235 - neat or tangled?

I’m liking the color and your dash layout. Yes, the anchor drain is the same on mine as well. Great to hear they have your boat in the cue. In about 2-3 weeks you will be ready to launch. Exciting times!

Wiring in GW 235 - neat or tangled?

How did the delivery go of your new vessel? It would be great to see a couple of pics of it (inside and out). I would also be curious on the wiring setup behind the helm. Thanks.

Wiring in GW 235 - neat or tangled?

Thanks skunkboat for sharing how to reduce size of photo. Here is the wiring in the helm — it is a mess. Anyone willing to share their wiring layout in the helm to give me some ideas how to make this neater and easier to work through? Thanks.

Wiring in GW 235 - neat or tangled?

Yes, I do appreciate neatness under the helm as well. For me, I want to cut down the time of having to trace down wires if adding or updating equipment. It is not like I'm doing a lot of of it, but it would sure cut down on time when things are labelled and neatly installed. If anyone has...

Wiring in GW 235 - neat or tangled?

Tried several times to send pic, but file is too large. To give a mental image, as in an ole saying ----- "looks like a rat's nest". ;)

Wiring in GW 235 - neat or tangled?

I was wondering how are other owners of GW235 freedoms have their wiring at the helm, particularly on newer models. Do you have clean, labelled, layout strapped down wiring in the helm for NMEA2K, radar, stereo, etc. or is it tangled and you have to spend time tracing wires/cables? Didn't...

    Boat Windshield protector

Does the hull preservation tape leave any sticky adhesive to glass? I want to avoid a sticky mess on the windshield. I am thinking on a dual console windshield the tape may have to be attached to the back of the windshield when taping the foam or cardboard on the front of the windshield.

    Boat Windshield protector

Thanks for the tips. I never heard of the hull preservation tape, but it looks like it will do the trick!

    Boat Windshield protector

The bow covers I have do not cover the windshield. Good idea about the foam. Where would you attach the duct tape to the windshield or piping dot it does fly off or the adhesive from the duct tape will not gum up the window/ piping? Thanks.

    Boat Windshield protector

Hi all. I'm planning to trailer my GW235 several hundred miles via highway. I have heard some people have had rocks/other debris fly up and hit their boat's windshield and cracking it. Has anyone DIY'd a boat windshield cover while trailering their boat? I want to avoid any potential...

Adding lock to Cooler/storage Compartments on 235 freedom

Hi all, I want to add a lock to the bow starboard cooler box and the bow port storage box on my GW 235. Currently, they just have regular pulldown latches. Do anyone have any ideas of adding a lockable latch to both boxes. Thanks.

    Installing a boat table

Thanks for the feedback. Yeah, thinking in using a 3/16 flat SS backing plate to help spread the load. I prefer the side mount, similar to want DennisG01 mentioned so that I can have a little more leg room. The table will be flat. Anyone have any ideas on what can be used to decrease cups...

    Installing a boat table

Thanks Ky. I saw that one. Not sure if the bow fiberglass is thick and sturdy enough for side mount with load. I’m thinking it should, but want to know if anyone had that any issues?
