    Where is my sending unit?

Hey - I have a 1989 Grady Tournament and recently, it appears that my fuel gauge is reading past empty. The gauges are brand new, just over 2 years old, that were put in with my re-power. The gauge was also working a week ago. However, I did check the colts to the gauge and I am getting my 12...

    1997 marlin re power

Not an expert on these things but the first question I'd ask is, what is the condition of the transom? Then what is the weight of what's on there now and what is the weight of the two verados you have and are contemplating putting on. But the condition of the transom would be my first concern.

    Transom Damage?

Hey, PS Guy - the repair looks good. What did they use and who did you use? In New Jersey at all? It looks like they used brass fittings again - not sure I'd go that route though. $3500. sounds like a good price since I have been seeing around 6,000 but I think it depends on the material used...

    Transom Damage?

Thanks, doc! Yeah I did jump on it to look for any flex and do not see any.. (I forgot to include that part). The bubble is not on the transom though..it's a whole other issue maybe aside from the transom problem - it's on the starboard side of the hull, is that an odd place to see...

    Transom Damage?

Hey guys! I was wondering if you guys can help me with a possible transom issue. My boat is a 1989 Grady White Tournament 195. I re-powered 2 years ago and at the time, the marina who did the install said the transom "looked good" and was able to handle a new heavier 4 stroke. But now it looks...

    How to Read a Fishfinder

Hey! So, I am a rookie with these fancy electronics. When I bought my Grady 10 years ago, it came with a fish finder on it already installed and I didn't have to do anything and it worked. Although it was an old finder, black and white screen, I didn't have colors and cool features and pretty...

Prop cavitating - GW Tournament 19

Hey mboyatt - yeah just to be clear, I don't lose power on the engine, otherwise I would just bring it back to the serviceman since I am still under warranty. :-) For example, my RPM's were up at 4000 but my GPS speed read 13mph. The engine itself isn't losing power, it sounds just the way it...
