    Grady parts dealer needed

Thankyou Enough Already..... I believe the seat is the factory fitted helm seat. My boat is a 2000 model 265. I require the plastic sliders/bushes as well as the plastic cap that fits on top of the seat pedestal. This is to stop it rockin'...... Also if you have the time I tried to order some...

Looked at a 265 Express today, any tips? (Bought it!!)

Re: Looked at a 265 Express today, any tips? I didn't realise the Sailfish and 265 weighed the same? I haven't been on a Sailfish but would expect a slighly smoother ride due to hull length. The earlier 265's (pre 2003) had 22deg deadrise hence softer riding but a little more tender underway...

3 Blade vs. 4 Blade test results

Scott I am curious as to why you don't try raising the motors for more efficiency? It sounds like you could go a bit higher.......

    Replacing Lights with LED's

I have replaced my step lights with leds which are blue and less intense than the standard ones. Better for night vision and a more attractive light as well as using less power. I'm no electrician but I have read in other forums where it is noted how important the in line fuses are with LED's...

How to tell a stainless hardtop from an alum one ?

Well I'm not sure what "thin wall" would be, but most of the older marlin towers on our Heavy Tackle fleet still have stainless and they are a lot heavier, than the newer alloy ones. Certainly the newer big boats are rapidly moving to alloy but most of the trailerable baots still use stainless.

How to tell a stainless hardtop from an alum one ?

Just for interest sake guys.....in Australia most hardtops and tuna towers are still being made from Stainless. Always have. Here the theory is Alloy has more potential for cracking . I love my alloy hardtop mostly because of the weight it doesn't add to my towable 265 express. I don't know...

4 stroke vs HPDI on a Grady CC

As Bob says I had problems with the 200hpdi's that were on my boat initially. Despite replacing and cleaning all filters (3-4 from memory), rebuilding pumps (there are 3) and running numerous tests with laptops etc exchanging stators, ecu etc. we still had intermitent probs . Just when I thought...

4 stroke vs HPDI on a Grady CC

Having had 2 of both 200hpdi's and F225's on my 265 Express I can say the 2 strokes will out perform the 4's but are much noiser at troll and whilst not bad they still smell whilst the 4's don't smell at all. Economy is better with the 2 strokes but then you have to add in the oil. The F225's...

    265 handling dialed in

G'day Lefty, no the beautiful Blue boat you have seen is Tom's "Gradyfish". She certainly is a looker. Tom helped me with mine when I got her . He knows them Stem-Stern. There are some real 265 fanatics on here who really appreciate the fishing features and responsive handling of this model...

    Vensura Props / Mirage + 265EXpress

4 blade mercs (rev 4's) would cost around $2,ooo ausd here . You have much better prices there and the Prop Doc guys will help with exchange. Alternatively buy them used on THT and then if they don't work out you'll be able to move them on relatively easily without losing much. Once you find the...

    handling problem gradywhite 265

G'day from Oz, First I would suggest you repost this on the general discussion forum as you will most likely get more responses. Is your boat on a trailer or moored. If moored i would be checking all bilge areas for water . This will make the boat heavy and also tender ie. unstable. As you say...

    Groco Maserator Pump: Grady 265

Wow you didn't mention how hard it is to get to and how you are probably going to have to go back in there......... I replaced mine 12 months ago, but i believe that it may be easier to just rig up an electric macerator head with a remote pump to pump out the holding tank. If you always use...

    Express 265 Trim Issues

ditto to the above. I have yet to need tabs with a head sea other than normal lateral levelling. In the interest of efficiency I always try to get my load as level as poss first ...........then use minimal tabs, less drag. You will notice the more you trim the motors out the more tender the...
