    swim platform repair

Marine Tex is a high strength epoxy. It doesn't have any glass in it. I'd take off the hardware and grind back until you are in clean undamaged glass. If you have any signicant depth I think I'd prefer to build it up with layers of wetted glass rather than a thick layer of Marine Tex. Also, when...

    Older Sailfish canvas help

Any good canvas guy will be able to do one from scratch. I redid mine and it came out better than factory and the guy used all the factory snap locations.

    Replacement Horn Cover

http://www.ongaromarine.com/horns.htm Check their site I'm pretty sure they made your horn. The whole assembly for the mini-horn is on eBay for $58.

    Replacement Horn Cover

Can you post a pic and list the manufacturer? I usually end up buying from the manufacturer directly.

    Kohler 5E parts

I put in a sandbag bid on eBay for a Kohler 5E generator that had been submerged. I bought the whole thing for $50 plus shipping which was about $150 (that sucker was heavy). Anyway it arrived in 3 boxes in pieces. All the non-mechanical non-electrical bits are in pretty decent shape. The...

    2001 macerater replacement

It's actually quite easy. The macerator is installed in the top of the holding tank. There are a half dozen or so slotted screws and the electrical connection is via a small bus on top of the tank. Remove it and re-install in the reverse manner. To save your nose fill it with fresh water and...

Groco 155 macerator on a Marlin

Don't leave your tank full. I replaced mine 5 years ago and twice have had to open up the tank (thanks ladies) to remove that which should never have been flushed. Macerator still looks like new. If you were really worried you could fill it up with fresh water and pump it out a couple of time if...

    2005 Marlin Salvage

It was in a hurricane in the Bahamas and sank. If you search on the web you can see pics of it with the beat up engines on it. In the interior pictures you could see rust stains coming out of the electrical panel in the cabin. That being said things like cabinet doors and hatches are good...

    2005 Marlin Salvage

I could put my name down for lots of the parts if someone wants to buy it and part it out. :)

    Grady White in Canada

Nice to see a few Canucks show up. I agree with the comments on Jacobsen. Very helpful the few times I called them. I have run my boat from Vancouver to Tofino and beyond. Offshore in the swells it ran great and the comfort level was amazing. A lot of people run aluminum boats on the west...

    Grady White in Canada

I have a '92 Marlin and I live in Vancouver. Mine came all the way from Florida. With the Canadian dollar at par you can buy a lot of boat these days in the USA. www.boats.com is a good place to start to compare prices. Shipping a 30' Marlin or smaller boat is really not that expensive relative...

fresh water system leak/ holding tank issue...where to start

Re: fresh water system leak/ holding tank issue...where to s You have to ask yourself where all that water went. If you have a leak it will end up in your bilge. I had a persistant source of water in my bilge that drove me crazy. It turned out the fresh water pump was leaking in the body of the...

    Bilge & Cabin Heaters - 360 Express

I live in Canada on the Westcoast and keep my boat in the water year around in a boatshed. I use a West marine heater year around to keep a little heat in the boat. I have been through two in 6 years of continuous use. Not bad for $50. You get no mold, mildew, condensation or bad smells if you...

    factory horn

That makes a lot of sense as AFI made the wiper motors too. AFI is owned by Marinco so a search of their site should find a replacement horn. West Marine carries that line of parts.

    factory horn

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Mini-Compact-Tw ... ar&vxp=mtr I saw this last night on e-bay and remembered it when I read your post. If you blow up the picture it says "Ongaro" They make a full line of marine horns. Good luck. http://www.ongaromarine.com/horns.htm

    2006 330 express

If all other factors are the same such as load, amount of canvas and amount of fuel on board the first thing I would check would be fouling. You say the props are good so we can eliminate that. If it's not bottom growth you then have to assume your engines are putting out less power at the...

Lower unit on a evinrude 200 hp

My only issue with them is they aren't exactly honest about what's in stock or not. They back ordered mine without telling me and I had to concel. Also about 5 or 6 guys on ebay are selling these as OEM and not repro. Any part number with an SE at the front is a Sterndrive product.
