Love my Marlin, so 'Sell' me on getting a 330!

I went on a new 330 yesterday in Boston for the first time. $449,900. I now think making the jump from my marlin to a 330 isn't as big of a size jump as I had thought. I assume its because I've over hyped the 330 into something that it could never be. Love the 330 though! Just buy it...

330 Express AC on external generator

If you install a $400 smart start soft start onto your air conditioner you may be able to run the 12k air on an older Honda 2k gen. The new honda 2k gens with the larger dia fuel caps can't start air conditions as well as the older 2k gens.

    MARLIN AIR CONDITION ?

Under the helm seat, interesting. I wouldn't have thought that there was room for a hot water tank there. I'm glad I asked, thanks!

Is the air condition in your marlin located behind the fridge and your hot water tank located behind the wall in the aft cabin? Thanks.

    Need advice Yamaha corrosion issue

I wouldn't put $ into F225's unless you never plan on selling the boat....which isn't likely. Swap them out for used 2008+ F250's.

    Grady White Marlin

Exactly what rpm do you reach at wot? I would try to get up on plane (and I know you can not) with one engine at a time to see the difference in power between port and starboard. Also, do other f225 Marlins loose 6 knots at x rpms when full of fuel and gear? Those motors are not much over...

    Grady White Marlin

If you lost 6 knots you have issues that props may mask but won't fix. Did you test compression on the motors? Do both spin up to WOT throttle RPM's?

    330 Express Repower Questions

That etec set up looked to be running at 1.6!!! Nice!! And its revving under 4k easy on the engine rpms too! A set of yamaha f225 underpowered exhaust corrosion motors, 250 or 300 hpdi bombs, and older f250 copper t stat and exhaust corrosion motors will hurt resale of a Grady. I almost...

Any CT guys know this boat?

The transom is a giant aluminum i-beam running port to stb and all 8 of my outboard mounting bolts are ABOVE the waterline. Those 225s are good motors, you'll cruisers 29 - 30 knots and have more power than you need. I have the same package but with 200's and I cruise 25 knots at 4,000 and 27...

Any CT guys know this boat?

I was on this boat before in ct, nice boat. In fact it was in that slip too. I almost bought it but found another 280. Only thing bad on his was soft deck hatches. The guy is a serious fisherman and runs offshore and catches fish. The guy doesn't like tire kickers and doesn't need $. Just to...

28 Marlin 225´s Hondas props and generator.

Find the real honda spec for your model and see exactly what wot rpms are. Once you do then you can calculate a prop. Tons of gen room under the rear cockpit hatch just aft of the aux tank. That's about the only place you have to install it.

    Marlin Fuel Tank Management

The Mercury service bulletin wants boats stored with tanks empty or full so empty is great. (PM me and I'll send you the link.) My marlin likes stern weight. The cabin is heavy enough so experiment yourself and you may end up leaving the main empty. Good luck with the boat!
