If I did it over............I would use the Lee Pro's as a mount. The less flex the more options you have as to how you load the riggers. If you choose to pull a squid dredge from your riggers ..................less flex is best.

Six batteries prior to the thruster ?? Wow! I have spent a few overnights drifting In out Northeast canyons with all of my lights on (all LED) as well as my electronics while tuna fishing and never have drained my twin house bank. Where did the previous owner fit two additional house batteries?

Thanks for the info. I hope to install one this spring depending on what is left of the funds after a new enclosure. Would love to have it professionally installed. After seeing the location of the unit as well as the battery location we will execute the installation when I move the Marlin...

We use Woody's Wax. once at commissioning of the boat and once 1/2 way thru the season. It works well.

I use the same setup. Highly recommended !! I have used the dacron as well as the 400# mono. 1.8 Spyderline with Hal Locks is a done deal. I run this on my center rigger as well.

Yes, I installed one on my 98 272 Sailfish. It performed well. Always use a cleat to tie off the anchor line when at anchor. The windlass is not designed for that purpose. http://i866.photobucket.com/albums/ab23 ... 5ddf7d.jpg

If you can swing it, switch to Evinrude G2's. Certainly a different exhaust tone but worlds apart in engineering and performance.

They run very well. We are pleased with the fuel economy numbers and 2 stroke power. Glad you found the slides .
