I have read a bunch on installation of a windlass and I think I can tackle the project. I don't anchor too often but, still want a reliable windlass. It seems like the Lewmar's are pretty affordable. Is the Lewmar Profish 700 horizontal a good choice for a 272?

FYI, Good Windlasses, out of NJ, are one of the few (if any) that do not need a tie-off cleat. They're not the prettiest on the block, but they are of excellent quality and have great customer support.

A windlass install is not necessarily "hard", but it can be time consuming. I don't know if your boat is pre-wired - but it's not too hard. Just make sure you get marine wire (tinned is preferred), use quality crimp connectors, protect the wire in key areas, oversize any drilled holes and fill with epoxy then redrill, etc.
