    Tip needed for non-skid mat

Agreement, Thats a neat idea - it would sure beat a soggy towel lying around. I'll check it out. Thanks!

    Tip needed for non-skid mat

Is there any kind of non-skid mat available that I can put under a 72 QT "Igloo" type cooler to keep it from sliding around? I've checked the WM and BW catalogs but don't see anything like this. I do NOT want to put down any type of permanent screw-in type cooler anchors. I want to be able...

    Cover 228 Seafarer

Here's a previous thread on the subject. I posted in it with a picture and info on what we purchased. I'm still happy with the choice. http://www.greatgrady.com/forum/viewtop ... highlight=

How to cover 228g Hard Top for winter ??

Try www.coversearch.com. We got this cover from them for something in the range of $600. It comes with lots of straps and is a reasonable fit. Also I purchased a cover support pole system from Boaters World that keeps the cover from sagging and letting rain water pool between the bow...

    Cleaning Gradys..

OK, I'm detailing her this and probably next weekend. One thing I have to get is some mildew stain spots off of the inside front edge of the hardtop - there is some caulk there that has some mildew stain - also a little inside the cabin on some of the fiberglass. What do you guys...

    228 Flushmount & fishfinder upgrade

Thought you'd like to see this upgrade we just completed on our 228 Seafarer. First, a huge "Thank You" goes out to Parthery for the expertise and help. This project included upgrading my fishfinder from an old monochrome Lowrance unit to a color model better matched to the kind of fishing we do...

    Seafarer 226 versus 228

Ditto what the previous replies have indicated. The 228 cockpit is very fishy - the livewell placement centered at the stern is extremely convenient. The cockpit is very roomy and functional. IMO it just is a "bigger boat" then the 226. I'd buy it all over again!

    2005 228 -225HP vs 2006 250HP ??? Yam 4 strokes

We have the 05 228 with the F225. I have ZERO complaints. Yes, we DO trailer and I take advantage of that when buying gas. The 225 takes 87 octane and the 250 requires 89 octane. As to performance, the GW posted specs are pretty close. With full fuel (we have the aux tank - 148 gals total)...

Seafarer 228 Bait Tank Needs Upgrade

Just curious - how DO you keep bait live in your livewell overnight? What's your electrical source to keep the pump running, etc., or is there another way of keeping them live? I've always wondered. Thanks!

WATER PUMP COST AND TIME TO DO THE JOB QUESTION?

This isn't about HPDIs water pumps (it's for F200 series), but I think it is a great post from THT. By the way, you'll see Shipyard Island Marine (SIM) mentioned. There's a guy named Andy there and he is a tremendous help to folks who are new to doing it yourself (like me). I bet he could answer...

Where can I get replacement snaps?

My canvas has one that got pulled out. I bought the repair kit from West Marine and the snaps they have in it are flimsy and cheap looking - not mearly as "beefy" as the originals. Who carries them?
