Stereo placement on 1995 208 Adventurer

I also installed my radio/CD player inside the cabin, only under the electronics box. I installed my speakers in the same locations as shown in the photos. Instead of building boxes, I used wall mounted speakers and attached them to the cabin bulkhead. I wired the radio to the fuse box.

Anyone have a Kicker for there GW 208?

I have a 9.9 two stroke kicker on my 208. Because of the swim platform being on the port side, the kicker is on the starboard side with the two batteries. This makes her list a little at rest. I did install trim tabs, which I feel are almost a must regardless of the listing. I troll very slow...

Advise on Windlass Install on a 208 Adventure

I hope these pictures help. As you can see she is still in the barn. I hope to launch later this month. I will give you a list of the parts I used if you need it.

Advise on Windlass Install on a 208 Adventure

I also thought of putting a windlass on my 208. Because of the lack of space, I chose to go with an anchor roller, choke and a set of eyes and rollers along my bow rail stanchions. Now I am able to pull up my anchor with out climbing out onto the bow. I also placed some extra heavy duty clear...

    cockpit drains

I need to correct myself. I should have said minor dislike. I don't really have any major dislikes.

    cockpit drains

I own a 1997 Adventure 208. I really have only one major dislike which is the design of the rear cockpit drain holes. They are parallel with the deck with a depression. My boat is docked all summer and these depression hold water and debris. They look nasty in a hurry and need constant cleaning...

    Fishbox cushions-Adventure 208

I agree with Joe. I just use a couple of throw ables. They are cheaper and they make it easier to use the boxes. I also own the aft and bow cushions and I never use them. They do look nicer, but hey this if a fishing boat. I am looking for convenience.

    Windless for a 228 G Seafarer

Nightides, I have one of the same retrieval systems, but I have never used it. Does it work well and is there anything I should know about using it? If it's that much easier I will give it a try.

    Windless for a 228 G Seafarer

Sorry, I do not have any pictures. If it ever gets above 0 deg., I will go out to the barn and take some for you. I have used it for a couple of years and it works great. I am getting a little too old to be climbing around on the bow when it rough. Here are the parts I used...

    Trim Tab Question? HELP!

I also suggest exchanging them for Bennett's. I installed Bennett's on my 208 without any problems. Do some measuring. I know they make a model that will fit without any modification of the swim platform. Good luck

How many of you name your boats?

Name your boat and make it personal. I also own a 208 named J-cubed (J to the third power) after Jim, Jan and Jennifer. Worry about taking the name off later when you sell it. If you use vinyl lettering it should not be that hard to remove.

    Pulpit and anchor set-up

I use sailboat furling leads on my rail stanchions to guide the anchor line back to the cockpit and an Anchor Chain Stopper to hold the anchor in place. http://www.boatersworld.com/product/157 ... %3Bcichain http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?pat ... &id=107663

    Windless for a 228 G Seafarer

Hand power I have an Adventure 208 on Lake Huron and I also considered a windless and a bow pulpit. With not much room to work with and anchoring depth of generally under 75' I decided to go a different route. I installed an anchor roller on the bow and sail boat line rollers along the rail...
