    Hardtop Mounted Outriggers

I could not just leave it be mounting them as before seemed to be asking for trouble down the road. :bang So after many long nights of worrying and dreaming of a solution to this issue. :hmm It came to me. If you cannot weld it then bolt it. So from there I did up a template and built...

    Hardtop Replacement Project

Hardtop Replacement Project COMPLETE Finished the project this evening after getting the mounts back from powder coat. I will say the mounts are the best way to go and they really strengthen the outriggers in that area. Glad I made them and took the extra time to do this. Here are the...

    coaxial cable

If you have an existing antenna and cable then it will be super easy. You will use the existing cable as a pull string. You could just tape the new one to the old one and this is the quick way. I personally do not do it that way because sometimes the new cable being the same size as the old...

    New Member Saying Hey

Welcome aboard and this board is great. If it has not been asked then ask it and most likely you will get an answer. Also GW customer service will always help too if we do not have the answer. I was amazed. Good luck in your hunt.

    Leaky Seals on 2002 282

I just read my instructions and I forgot to detail that the 4200 was for the legs outside. You can go 5200 because it should be permanent but just in case I stepped down to 4200 in the off chance you had to remove it again. 5200 is brutal to remove and a bigger process. Did you find the leak yet?

    Hardtop Mystery Wires Help

I have 4 wires that were not hooked up before (or I would have labeled them) that I am trying to determine what they go to? I see in the manual that the White/Red Stripe ones are for a VHF power lead but there are 2 of them (Maybe GW expected 2 VHFs?) Also they describe it in the manual as...

Don't let your hardtop look this bad

As many of you had read the hardtop was rotten. Here are some photos that show you just how bad. All I can say is if you have a balsa cored hardtop stay on top of the penetrations and the sealing of them. Don't let your top be this one.

Wish I had thought of that fishing line trick. I would try that first for sure. It will still be hard to get up I am betting. Also caouple of other tips the guy who helped reminded me of. Get new bolts or at least check all your old ones. Ours had some messed up threads. Also the black...

    Hardtop Replacement Project

Yes it was a total pain to release. The bolts were not what were holding it on. We used a utility knife and cut the sealant out with alot of new blades. The stuff is really in there. Then two of us worked it together with 2 flat bars and a knife each starting at a bow corner and working to...

    2006 Sailfish

Especially if it has been on the trailer seems like it could not be a thru hull. Seems like a pretty big area for a thru hull if it was leaking that bad and for that long I would like to think the current owner would have noticed. When you first asked I was thinking like not more then 6 inches...

    Yamaha F150 Harmonic Balancers Noisy-Repost-$$$$$$$$$$$

I have not had an issue yet knock on wood but it seems like more then a bad batch with the number of years it is being reported. A bad batch would only affect a certain # of engines from a specific year. It gives me great pause about Yamaha and they should take note of the bad press. I have 2...

    2006 Sailfish

I did not have an issue with the thru-hulls but I could see how they could be an issue and plan to watch them. Which ones had the issue? Also what was his description of how moist the area showed and how far did it go? I would think where it is clearly a manufacturing thing they may stand...
