Good post, I totally agree. GW ride great for what they are, and they ae so versatile. Any big IO with heavy engines midships and deep V has to ride better. Its all a matter of what you compare them to. GW ride better than a whole lot of other boats, that is for sure.

Thanks to all who have offered help. This is my first OB boat. Well, first since I was like 12. *update* As i mentioned earlier, the engine was tilted when I started it. So, I literally lowered it from being full up to about 1/2 down and then started it last night...after a few minutes...

About 73 degree outside and the engine had idled about 5 minutes.

Went to the boat last night, dropped the 225 4s in the water and started the boat, motor was down about 3/4 into the water. The intake and exhaust were definately submerged. After about 5 minutes of idling I noticed a white smoke coming from the engine exhaust, almost like a 2s. Any ideas? Do...

Both tremendous boats and similar. For us, the walk around was more important than the 5-8 times a year we sleep on the boat.

Jimmy I am sure your probably right but this is interesting as I have been hearing the exact opposite from a guy who owns a mid 2000's Parker. (at least his take on it!) Not sure the year or the exact deadrise etc difference but a guy a few slips down from me cannot wait to trade-in his 21'...

Mega- Great summary, thanks. We also looked long and hard at the 330. At the end of the day, the 10 nights or so a year we will sleep on the boat do not outwiegh the big price difference and the walk-around. I see this as more safe, better for fishing and certainly great for kids and the admiral!!
