    Floor Coating

Buy a good paint and it is should last. The prep is the key to any decent paint job on any type of surface. Any pro will tell you they spend more time on preping the surface then laying down the paint. Painting is the easy part.

REPOWER: Time for new outboards???? Need advice

I would go with the 200 HPDI's. I have had them for 4 years now and they are great motors without even a hicup. :D

    Scupper Hose Replacement

I think you should really use the black wired exhaust house for your scuppers just like they came from the factory. Yea I know they are a real bear to work with you may want to look into this. Then again I may be wrong but thought I read something about this in the past.

    Trophy Pro Washdown

blackgrady you know it was funny what you said about the 4 year old child. I ended up using my 8 year old daughter to tighten down the overflow thru hull in there when I replaced them all 2 years ago. It was just impossible for me to reach all the way across that space.

    Big Government Strikes Again!

This is only the beginning of things to come. And when these people get re-elected over and over and over we can only blame ourselves. Thants what you get when you have lawyers running a country. :(

    Scupper Hose Replacement

Oh its just so much fun doing all the thru hulls. Just ask my hands they loved the fiberglass splinters. And on my older 89 grady I got to hand it to the MFG for making the access so easy.

    Suck it up

I dont even know if the primers work after the repower in 06 since I never even used them. I will see if they fire up when I get home. I like the idea of the inline fuel pump since its safe and cheap. Thanks Guys

    Suck it up

I have to get the fuel out of my small aux tank on my trophy pro. Its now on the side of the house so it should be easy. What is the best easiest way to get the old fuel out? Ive never done this before and want to learn the tricks. Thanks

    repower cost

In 06 I repowered my 89 Trophy pro with twin 200 hp 06 yamaha hpdi's. Keep in mind eveything has to be done over for the most part right down to the starter keys. My total cost was around 33,000. Make sure your boat can handle twin 4 strokes due to the weight. I know that it would not work...

    F150 & Extended Warranty

My Mazda 2.3 liter turbo 4 cyl has a counter balance shaft in the bottom of the oil pan. Most of us guys just take them out to save on weight "18lbs" and gain a few ponies and dont notice any more vibs. Simple job also just drop the pain take out the bolts cut the ring gear on the crank and plug...

Still glad you "Got the Grady?"

I bought my 89 Troph pro back in 1998. We used the boat lots and had some of the best times together as a family. In 2006 I repowered with new Yamy HPDI's and once again it was like a new boat. For the year it is I really feel I got a great value and have been very happy with it. My problem...

    1988 Grady-White Repower question

I had the same thing only 200 johnsons on the back at the time. I was told 150's will make the boat a bit of a pig and worse if 4 stroke 150's. All motors today are good and if you buy used have a local marina install them so they can troubleshoot as they are getting dialed in. Buying motors...

    looking to buy a 1988 sailfish,25 foot,twin 200 yamaha.

That boat will be a big gas hog with those old outboards and burn about 25 gallons an hour. Thru hulls will need to be replaced and ask about the fuel tanks also. If you need to repower and are going to go new it will cost about 32 grand. I would think you will get that boat dirt cheap in this...

    Evinrude E-Tec any opions ?

Bob nice that you did them yourself and saved the money. I had all the same things right down to the gauges except the ram and tie bar. They also put in 2 new batteries. He even dropped me in the water. Out the door price $34,300.

    Evinrude E-Tec any opions ?

Well all I can say is I love my 200 HPDI's and after 4 years with the repower I have not had one issue. And yea I cant sell it nor can anyone else for that matter. Forget about resale anyways in this day and age with gas hitting $4 on the street at anytime. It dosnt matter what is on the...
