    1990 saifish scuppers

The scuppers I got from a grady dealer are stainless and are below the waterline. He said thats what they use on all the newer boats.

    Right Power for Boat

My older Johnson carbed 2 stroke motors burned about 24 gallons per hour at 4000 rpm. The newer Direct injected 2 stroke outboards on my boat burn around 16 gallons an hour at 4000 rpm. Not sure what motors would be on an older model Grady but if original then you would be in the 22-24...

    1990 saifish scuppers

If you are going to replace the entire scupper then go to the grady white dealer near you. They sell the entire unit in stainless steel and its a perfect match and an easy job. Also replace the scupper hose from the deck to the scupper and make sure you get the same type scupper hose as they use...

    1981 255 sailfish purchase

The price is ok but go thru the boat with a fine tooth comb. Pull the decks and look at eveything and if the hull is solid then your 1/2 way there. If the motors are ok yea you may get 2 to five years and remember they burn about 24 gallons an hour at cruise. rot repairs $10,000 plus Repower...

Afraid of running out of oil

I had a pair of 89 loopers before my repower. I also never trusted the guages so I just mixed 1 gallon oil with evey 50 gallons gas. Never a problem for me again and I knew I had the right ration for the motors.

    1989 Grady Question

Yea I have a feeling I will be for alot of reasons and the economy being at the top of the list. And after what I put into her nobody would give me what I would want anyway. Guess I will just have to suffer with a real nice little boat that runs like a champ afterall.

    1989 Grady Question

What Bob said. I bought an 89 Grady Trophy Pro back in 2000. I had it surveyed and for the $19,500 I paid it was a fair deal. All the wood rot things for your sake better be looked at due to costs involved in repair. Also keep in mind that a repower will cost you around $30,000 and thats not...

    Yamaha 225 is smoking?...

If you see that from your car then you have a blown head gasket.

Is a single 250 HP enough???

I talked to a person who put a 250 Opti on his Trophy Pro "same hull but less weight" and he said it was a big mistake. Now I would love to see someone try a Yamaha 350 on one of our hulls and see how that would do? Not me though I'm not that brave.

    Killing Time

I saw this question on THT and thought I would like to see what everyone on this board thinks. I have an 89 TrophyPro that would not plain on one outboard running the old 200 Johnson loopers. I think it was due to the props but could be wrong. I say that because when I was doing the repower...

    HPDI vs ETEC

Forget the hype of etec or hpdi since both motors have a good reputation. With the amount of money you will spend service is going to be very important from a good local dealer.
