I saw this question on THT and thought I would like to see what everyone on this board thinks.

I have an 89 TrophyPro that would not plain on one outboard running the old 200 Johnson loopers. I think it was due to the props but could be wrong. I say that because when I was doing the repower the mechanic said why are you running these props they are more for racing then what you should have. Anyway here are the questions for everyone.

If you can plane on one outboard are you proped wrong?
If you can plane on one at say 4000rpm are you doing harm to you motor?
If you run the the mfg spec's at WOT with twins then how could you be proped wrong ?
Or does it just depend on the hull, weight, size of boat and engine?
