    New Enclosure

I should be receiving my new enclosure from A&J soon and will be doing the same. On a scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being the most difficult, how would you rate the ease of installation? Like you, I have both types of attachment methods. Also, what about the time required to complete the job? I...

    Yamaha repower questions

I repowered my 06 282 back in 2016. Had 250's and replaced with 250's. It was basically a plug and play scenario since I stayed with the mechanical shifters. I believe the 4.2L required different battery cables, other than that everything was reusable. If I could have gotten mechanical...

    330 - Refinish cabin floor?

Due to delamination, I had to remove mine. Was a labor intensive job. Replaced with a more substantial piece that we epoxied on the sides and bottom to hopefully prevent another episode of delamination. Boat is a Sailfish 282.

Marlin cabin floor - what's under and how to remove?

I forgot to add, removal is a pain. Nothing is as easy as it appears thanks to adhesive used to apply ply to cabin sole.

Marlin cabin floor - what's under and how to remove?

I had my flooring removed and replaced a couple of years ago due to delamination. Nothing but fiberglass under the wood that will have to be finished if you decide not to replace wood flooring. GW can provide you with a template to use if you decide to replace wood or you can buy wood floor...

Repower options for 282, real data available?

Can't remember the old prop specs, but the props I have been waiting on are SWS2 SDS15 1/2 x 17. They have been on backorder/out of stock seemingly for ever. Ship date keeps getting pushed back by months.

Repower options for 282, real data available?

I repowered my 2006 282 with Yamaha F250's in 2016. Went from 3.3 F250's to 4.2 F250's with mechanical controls to save some money and because it was basically plug and play. I am currently running my old props which have done ok, but I am unable to get over 5100rpm's. New props have been...

    2001 282 repower

There are a pair of lightly used 200hp Verado's for sale in the parts section on The Hull Truth. I think they have under 125hrs. Might be worth a look if this is the route you want to take. I just repowered my 2006 282 with Mechanical 4.2L 250's, I replaced the orig 3.3L 250's...very happy...

    New Twin Yamaha F250 4.2L

I repowered my 2006 282 last August. Only difference is going from 3.3L F250's to the 4.2L. To keep costs down I opted not to go with the fly by wire controls which made the repower very simple. I have been running my old props while waiting on my new ones (yes, they have been backordered...

    2006 sailfish 282

My 282 has 250's and I could not imagine it with any less HP. Would love to see what it would do with 300's.

    2006 sailfish 282

I have an 06 Sailfish, purchased new, no cracks. However, I do keep a dehumidifier and fan running 24/7 along with a small heater running during the colder months. Not sure if that can be considered preventative maintenance, but doing so makes me feel better about things.

Fridge survey - do you use it...?

We have a slip with shore power so the fridge is on all the time. We mainly keep our grilling condiments, soy sauce and dips in there along with a couple of those frozen drink mixers in the freezer portion. Only complaint is the metal trim ring is starting to rust, not sure if it can be...
