I did replace the O2 sensor off a extra motor I bought for parts Thew I never tested it. The sensor was very clean. I will have them tested. I was thinking off replacing the injectors this winter as well. Not related to this issue but just as a safe guard do to the age.

I would give it a try. It might come off easier than you think. If it is struck I would take it to a pro. Can not hurt to try.

If it is not overheating check the oil res. sensor on the motor. They go bad and are frequently the cause of the alarm

Had a 93 gulfstream same as a sailfish just two feet shorter. It was a badass fishing boat ran many 100 mile fishing trips. Alot easier to handle than my current boat.(docking in a current or wind) I enjoyed the boat a lot. Just be prepared for heavier fuel bills
