Advice on fuel tank covers please

OK now I have to ask. When I pulled my 3 floor hatches I found strips of rubber in the corners and along the edges where the screws went through, and the bare areas between them had 'shadows' that looked like the strips were there and now gone. They were the same material that was used between...

    Transducer interference

Forgot to mention that my old boat had a lowrance that could display a dual freq., 50/200K split screen. I always found it interesting to watch the differences between the 2, gives a better total picture of whats beneath the boat :goodjob

    Transducer interference

I have the discontinued GO7, used for 2 years on my boat. These little units are really impressive, I use mine mainly for sonar, and some Navionics Live stuff. I don't see why you wouldn't be able to run your old unit @ 200k and set the totalscan for med chirp with no interference. With that...

Deck drain scuppers for 1994 Chase

I've been looking for SS deck drains for my 96 Gulfstream. The ones in this pic look a lot like Southco shower drains. As far as I can tell, Southco doesn't produce SS drain fittings anymore although I did find the ones in the pic on Ebay but there were only 2 and of course I want 4 that match...

    Grady White 232 with kicker?

I fish the Great Lakes in a 232 with twin 150's, trolling on one motor. This is my second season with the boat and so far so good. Sometimes I'll throw a trolling bag in one side or both to slow the boat depending on current, or fishing in the trough to absorb some of the pitching. Good Luck!

OK, they are long tube cradles from Cisco, a little co. out of Cleveland. Great craftsmanship and service!

    Trailer recommendation for Gulfstream

Thanks guys, yes I do have a MI permit for towing. Here you need to register truck, trailer, and boat separately but only $30 each per year. Bumpye does your boat have a hardtop? How many lugs on the wheels? Tony those two shots are the same rods from different angles, both dipsy diver...

    Trailer recommendation for Gulfstream

Thanks Bill. This year I left my boat at Thompson's Marina in Ludington, last year it was on the trailer and I went up to Leland with it as well as Ludington. It certainly is beautiful country, even better when the fishing is good like it's been this year :D Do you have brakes on both axles...

    Trailer recommendation for Gulfstream

When I purchased my rig two years ago it came with a trailer, a LoadMaster roller type. Once last spring while towing it got a bit squirrelly, which at the time I attributed to inattentiveness trying to remove my jacket while entering a downhill section of highway. Ever since then I feel like I...

    228/248/232 ...tough decision

I fish my Gulfstream on Lk Erie & Michigan, trolling for walleye and salmon. I did get a permit for towing, $90 per year need to register boat, trailer, and tow vehicle @ $30 each. Trimmed properly I'm able to plane out in most water I care to fish in. I've fished 5 people on the boat and plenty...

    Grady 232 on trailer height

While I haven't actually measured mine, it was about even with a semi trailer that was either 13'1 or 13'4. That's with a roller trailer with springs and radar on hardtop.

If I recall there is a cap you can remove at the motor end, and then just play with it until it goes through. That's my big secret!

    DSM250 Sounder Gain Settings

While I'm not familiar with the RM stuff, on Lowrance and Garmin I usually crank up the gain until I see specks in the water column, then back off til I get the grains as small as possible but still visible, hope this helps.

Yam aux charge lead for my house battery

I found one on Ebay new/old stock and spliced in a Blue Seas Fuse Block with a 50A fuse at the battery. I'm thinking the wire was 10 ga., I didn't want to cut the factory connector off at the motor and couldn't find the bare mating connector anywhere. Good luck.
