If you disconnect the sender, it should read ~240 ohms with the float at the bottom (empty) and ~32 ohms at the top (full). Just removing the pink wire creates infinite resistance, which will read empty on the gauge.

Did you try following it back by hand? On mine the sending unit wire was only about 1' long...

That is the sending unit, follow the wire in the pic to a connection that goes to the gauge. I don't know anything specific about your model though. Good luck!

While installing my auto-pilot I disconnected one of my lines, and when reinstalled looked to be leaking. I figured I would just replace the compression nut and sleeve, but the nut seems to be an AN -6 size compression, which I can't find locally. I don't want to order it sight unseen. So now...

So another project I have between now and spring launch is installing a thru-hull transducer. Can anyone tell me if the bottom of the hull of my '96 Gulfstream is cored or not? From the transducer instructions it looks like the process for a cored hull is more involved, still doable but...
