    boat hauler LI, NY

The boat is at port of egypt. I've been boating for 2 years. I've never boated in the peconic or shinnecock area. How feasible is it to run the boat from southhold to bay shore marina? How long would it take? Is it worth it to burn that much gas vs. pay a boat hauler?

    boat hauler LI, NY

Boat is going in the water fairly soon after a little more work. This is my first grady and I can't wait. I'm looking for a reasonably priced good boat hauler on long island to bring my boat from southold to bay shore. Does anybody have any recommendations?

    help with livewell

alright fellas, my 222 fisherman is going into the rigging room tomorrow at the dealership. It's a 2003 and does not have a livewell. We're going to sit down and try and fabricate a way to add a livewell to this boat saving as much cockpit space as possible and i really would like to avoid...

    222 Fisherman-Bow casting platform Fold-Down seat ??

I own a 222 also and while i'm not looking to add a forward bow seat i figured i'd throw an idea out there. What about a mount for a cooler seat? This would make the seat very quick and easy to remove, it would also provide storage, and with a cushion it works as a seat. Only problem might be...

question for 222 owners, or anyone who might know

question for 222 owners, or anyone who might know

Thanks for all the input fellas. #1 the 2003 model does not have the livewell in front of the console. I think they stopped doing that in 2000 on the 222. The factory option is under the lean post however the previous owner did not have this option installed. #2 gradyfish - I like the...

question for 222 owners, or anyone who might know

i recently purchased an '03 222 fisherman, it does not have a livewell. I talked with the dealer who i am purchasing through. They could not get the grady white factory livewell insert for under the lean post. a livewell is a MUST for me so i wanted opinions or ideas on what to do. I'm trying...

    new grady owner

thanks everyone, i'm excited. I know it's going to be a very long winter. I looked at some walkaround but i love the layout of the center console. Good amount of cockpit space for fishing with no aft seats back there (thinking about the fold down ones but that can come later). I also love all...

first time purchase, 232 or 272

Grog my only basis is from speaking with friends (who own boats as well) and my mechanic. They always seem to have fuel problems with a lot of 2 strokes and much less with the 4's. It could be because the 2 strokes are generally older so gas tanks are probably older as well. This is why i said...

first time purchase, 232 or 272

just my 2 cents... i don't know much about either boat themselves. I know both engines have very good reputations but at this stage of the game in New York the 4 strokes seem the way to go. 2 strokes have been around for years and people love them but you have to remember you are dealing with...

    222 fisherman questions

Thanks for all the input guys. i definitely be putting on a racor 10 micron filter if one is not already there. As far as the livewell it doesn't have a molded in livewell. I'm debating on setting up a free standing livewell or the dealer mentioned one could be put in. I'm assuming they would...

    222 fisherman questions

Thanks for the input so far... the boat i'm looking at does have trim tabs which is a plus for me. Brad, do you know when yamaha made the recall? Was it right after the engine was put on the market or did it come a few years later? Also what is everyone feeling on an external racor filter...
