    AC or DC power

Your generator will run on either diesel or gas. Stove, A/C, Microwave and water heater will be A/C - either shore power or from generator. Fridge is d/c will run off your batteries. You should have an a/c battery charger as well. Don't have the generator seacock open when moving unless you...

    Outriggers size for marlin

Any more thoughts here. I currently have 15' hardtop mounted on a 305. Will likely go 18' cf which I think will be a worthwhile improvement, but considering 22's. Many thanks.

2000 232 Gulfstream live fishwell fills up with water when r

Re: 2000 232 Gulfstream live fishwell fills up with water wh There should be two under the stern seat -- live well and raw water wash down. The 2006 had livewell and corresponding seacock on the port side, washdown and its seacock to starboard. Mine had the extension arms with ball on the end...

2000 232 Gulfstream live fishwell fills up with water when r

Re: 2000 232 Gulfstream live fishwell fills up with water wh The live well fills from the live well thru-hull. If left open the live well will fill when underway. Close the seacock located aft and you will eliminate that problem. You should regularly work (open/shut) the thru-hulls to keep...

Express 305 prop advice-all 300 Marlin and 305 Express owner

Re: Express 305 prop advice-all 300 Marlin and 305 Express o Surprisingly (at least to me) only up to 5600 with 90 pct fuel/water and one person, but boat had been sitting a while so possible it picked-up some minor growth. All-in-all happy with the improvement.

Express 305 prop advice-all 300 Marlin and 305 Express owner

Re: Express 305 prop advice-all 300 Marlin and 305 Express o Thank you. My shop had a pair of 15-1/2 x 17 swsII's used for a couple sea trials. As suggested, lost about .5 mph at 4200 and 1 mph top-end, but calculated slip much less and fuel efficiency up 8-10 percent through much of the range.

    Express 305 wiper

Thanks, but actually looking for a new/different solution. The 305 has a single large central pane and (at least 2008 and 2011) comes from the factory with a single small blade that just covers the lower half. In wx, you need to peer through a small hole and the factory size is really...

    Express 305 wiper

Has anyone found or jury-rigged a replacement for the factory wiper? Blade needs an additional 5-6 inches length to clear the glass at all and there is adequate room. Many thanks.

    Tips on digital throttle

Just time on the helm. I just picked-up first boat with digital controls last week. No "clunk" when shifting around the dock and hard to tell when it was in gear. Now a little time with them and think they are great. Good luck!

Express 305 prop advice-all 300 Marlin and 305 Express owner

Think I am a bit over-propped and have reviewed previous threads, but appreciate the input of any Marlin or 305 owners - most especially anyone powered with F300's. 2011 Express 305, F300 4.2L, 15 1/4 x 19 SWS II props, bottom paint (good to exc condition), curtains in-place. Sea trial -...

    300 Marlin life raft storage

Congratulations and best of luck with her. Just concluded Sunday my trip to bring my new-to-me 305 home. Though we came home with it on the starboard companion seat, the aft berth is now home to the valise. I'll likely just move it to the helm area when we do an overnight (though they are...

    Grady White 255 w 300hp Yamaha opinions

Congratulations, looks great. Wish I could have been out there yesterday. Curtains up (bottom paint?) I would think 40-42 mph is probably about right. What RPM were you able to hit as propped? You are definitely correct that small boats in the 40's and BB don't mix all that frequently. Best...

Gulfstream Steering Wheel - Edson Knob

Does anyone know the diameter of a standard wheel? I would like to pick-up an Edson knob this weekend, but will not be able to measure in advance. Thank you.

    Add a head - 23 Gulfstream

I have a 2006 Gulfstream with pp only. Last season I never had it aboard and it has never been used. Does anyone have any experience re a head install/retrofit such that they could give me an idea as to approximate cost/hassle? I would love to move-up, but the 23 is perfect size to handle...

wake boarding behind a 232 Gulfstream; connection points?

Re: wake boarding behind a 232 Gulfstream; connection points jrem: I believe mine is 14' - single F250 on Gulfstream with bracket. I will confirm tomorrow (Thursday) and re-post. OP: Certainly a good suggestion to check w/Grady re the hardtop idea, but absent their affirmative advise, I...

    Gulfstream Seacock

Congratulations on your purchase. I have a 2006 Gulfstream and am willing to bet you will love it. Yes, the black balls on stainless rods operate the seacocks for the saltwater washdown (stb) and livewell (port) which should be down (closed) when at dock for an extended period of time. I find...
