    265 Owners

I have a '00 265 I bought in '03. It has t200-OX-66's . The boat is rated for 500 hp! My numbers are close to FINattic's . When I was shopping I was very interested in the Gulfstream and if I had come across one I might have bought it. As it happened I saw the 265 at the '03 shows and the...

    coaming pads 265 express

They all do that, even on the splash well . When I first bought my '00 265 in '03 I thought about removing them and storing them indoors for the winter, but there were holes for access behind them. I decided not to because if an animal ever got in there it could get comfortable and screw...

    Trim Tabs

I have Bennets on my 265. If you're not familiar with the 265, the tabs in the up position fold into a pocket in the hull. When I touch the tab switch the boat really responds! When I had questions the Bennet folks were very courteous and helpful.

    Caution with 265 transom door

Also there are adjusting screws located on the connecting latches, a couple of turns will tighten the splash guard door so it won't pop open if you hit a wave.

Heads Up. Scary Problem with Thru Hull Fittings

I just replaced one of the starboard deck scupper thru hull in the transom. What a PIA! It helps to have long skinny arms but I don't! All below waterline thru hulls should be SS/bronze not plastic. Anything above the waterline is not as critical.

    1973 Chesapeake?

Welcome Aboard! First of all it's an OLD boat! The list of things that could be wrong with it is long. You said it was repowered, with what ? when ? If it's a late model repower they may have had the boat checked to see if it was structurally sound. That could be a plus. Be prepared...

    1977 25 ft GW Kingfish

T-200s are the way to go! Is this 1977 hull really worth all the effort and expense to refurbish in this way? For you guys with the skills and the time/$$ it must be very satisfying to restore a nice old boat to it's old glory or BETTER !

New Grady Owner - Tournament 185

I splashed my boat today and it was windy at the dock.. I'm glad the only witness (?) was the Grandma in the wheelchair across the canal. I hope I made her day!

    Leaning Grady

Fully loaded my '00 265 leans to starboard at the dock. However, starboard I have the dual battery platform, my engines are tilted to starboard to give access to the rinse outs, and the Plano box locker is to starboard as well. The enclosed head is also on the starboard side.
