    adding a wash down

Exactly. The tee off is built into the livewell pump and water can be pulled freely from this "tee" to the washdown pump before the livewell pump even comes into play.

    adding a wash down

Seasick please go back and read wrxhoon's post. Read the entire post carefully. The livewell pump is not on and the livewell does not fill with water when the washdown pump is on. Two pumps. One hole in boat. Beautiful.

    adding a wash down

Seasick, Are you saying that in wrxhoon's system, the livewell will fill with water with washdown pump on and the livewell pump off?

    adding a wash down

Wxrhoon's post is the way to go. I had no idea they made livewell pumps with secondary outlets before the pump. Oh that's perfect. Two pumps running off one hole in the bottom of the boat. Great post. SJ

    adding a wash down

Joesmo86, Here is the page out of the 2012 owners manual with the outlet shown aft port side. You can see it in an image i the slide show of the 2012 209 from the Grady website. Let me know how it goes because I'm considering the same mod on my boat. I have a shurflo piranha 800 pump and...

T Nut for hinges on Escape 209

Well Nancy (she knows her stuff) at the local Grady dealer opened a few drawers behind the register and found some. She is so helpful and I'm not even spending any real money in there. Yet. Makes a man feel good about his investment.

Escape 209 flip up storage lid at base of console ...

Thanks Sea Shift. That makes sense ... They probably have a bunch of lids laying around and use them interchangeably to get the boats moving out of the factory. Makes a lot of sense. SJ

In addition to fuel tank access.

Escape 209 flip up storage lid at base of console ...

2005 Escape 209. I'll assume this area is for storage unless I'm missing something. And ... mine has male snap ends on the underside of the lid. Shouldn't there be something else here to work with the female catch that mates with it on the console? So that it will snap shut and not rattle...

T Nut for hinges on Escape 209

Thanks for the response and the link CatTwentyTwo. Those are close and they are called weld nuts sometimes or prongless T nuts but these are smaller and the threaded part is shorter than anything I've seen. I can't believe I can't find them. These have a base diameter of 6 cm and a height of 4...

T Nut for hinges on Escape 209

I'm replacing the hinges on the boat and having a fit finding the T nut fasteners. They are tiny and work with the 6-32 1/2 inch flathead screws. I can't find them anywhere online or otherwise. The one place I haven't tried is the Grady dealer. Might they have such an item? Anyone know where I...

Nasty Funk in Cockpit Shower Tank

Thanks for the reply Strikezone. I think I'm good. I put a few cups of Clorox into the tank and then filled it with water. After a 45 mile cruise around the Harbor and out to the Jettys etc, when I got back to the dock, I immediately flushed the tank with the old pump and no filter to get...

10-4. I think this boat is dialed in prop wise.

    Our 209 at the dock.

The aluminum prop that came was a 3 blade 17 pitch. The boat would only get around 38 mph and 3600 RPMs as I trimmed it up and then it wouldn't dig anymore and start spinning. I replaced it with a 17 pitch stainless Mercury Enertia 3 blade at Propgods Ken's advice. Took it out today and it...

Nasty Funk in Cockpit Shower Tank

Well this is a 10 gallon tank on an Escape 209 with the recessed hose in the stern. More for washdown than a soapy shower. I just need to clean it out so that it will work as intended. I'm going to put in some bleach, and fill it 80%, agitate it and see what happens.

Nasty Funk in Cockpit Shower Tank

So ... I replaced the freshwater pump and was trying out the cockpit shower. I ran the hose for a minute or so to put some water into what I thought was an empty tank. When running the shower/pump, the water filter got clogged after about a minute and the shower sputtered to a drizzle. I...

    Our 209 at the dock.

Thanks y'all. I put a new stainless prop on the f200 today and im taking my dad out for a cruise tomorrow and I'm curious to see how it improves the performance. I'll let you know. SJ
