    Grady Freedom 255

I like the full transom and the bracket too. It keeps the kids in the boat and the storage is absolutely great. On the other hand, I could see the euro transom with a door working better for some people. I hope I get a chance to ride one of these, because I am very interested in learning what...

    Q for Tournament 225 owners

Here's an easy one: (non-controversial too!) Does anyone know the distance from the bow cleats on a 225 down to the water? I am bottom painting a new set of mooring bridles and I want to make sure that I bottom paint all of the line that ends up in the water, but not that much more. The...

    Grady Freedom 255

It looks like a 225 topside dropped into a 24' hull - which makes perfect sense. Our 225 really feels like a 24' boat when you are in it. I would be very interested to see how different the ride is. My guess is that it will be very successful - pending cost of course. It looks like Grady's...

Doc Stressor - thanks for the information. Always nice to have a little rationality provided with some back up.

How soon until you're back in?

I am planning for the April 17 afternoon tide. As far away as that seems, I will still be dragging my dinghy down the beach because the docks in our neighborhood won't be in for another month... Still, I CAN'T WAIT!

    Tournament 255

I was wondering when they would do this... I thought they would replace the 225 with this, because as everyone else noted, it is the same basic boat just with a euro transom instead of a bracket. I would want to get on board one before voting which I would prefer, but it looks pretty nice.

We are praying for a quick recovery and a joyful summer with your boy. I have a nephew named Kyle - it is a nice name...

    Trim Tab Indicator

We have digital indicators on our Tournament 225. It is true that the indicators aren't really necessary, although handy. The auto-retract feature when the engine is turned off is VERY helpful to us though. We back in to the beach quite often, and I usually raise the tabs anyway, but with a...

    SV-2 vs. non-SV-2

As an extension to Jellfish's comments, I would just say that there will be other boats and holding out is not the worst idea. It remains a buyers market... Either way, good luck with your decision!

    225 Tournament Power recomendations

We have a 250 and it is definitely plenty strong. I haven't experienced the difference with a 225, but here is my 2 cents. You don't really use the WOT numbers too often, so that doesn't matter that much to me. However, when you put 4 adults, 5 kids and a day's worth of coolers and gear in...

    Fuel gage--common problem?

Our 2007 225 had a similar issue. The sending unit apparently freezes up over winter storage sometimes. Dealer came to our dock and repalced it for free. Works fine now, althoug I am about to go get it from this winter's storage - hopefully still working!

Music choices - heading thru the pass.....

Probably every one knows how cool Pandora is, but if you haven't tried it, put the Pandora app on an I-phone, and then plug it in to the boat stereo. Its a great way to go.

    What is this Hole?

Rorkin has it right... its just a clear plastic tube. Probably an bottle cap left in the cup holder rusted away and the crud will be stuck in the tube forever...

    225 Tournament Anchor Size?

We use a fortress anchor in our locker - fits nicely with about 20 feet of chain. It is very light, but performs really well. I can not recall if it is an FX-7 or FX-11. I think it an 11 because I usually oversize things like this... We have 250 feet of 1/2 braid, which is great because it...

    225 Tournament Electronics Box

https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?cID=148&pID=11187 THis is a link to the Garmin 4210. I really don't think you could get a bigger unit in the box. Maybe a 4212, but I doubt it. This is a very smart and easy to use unit. You can also read it pretty clearly from the aft end of the boat...

    Cataumet Blue

Companies always seem to come out with cool new options the year AFTER I buy!!!!!! That's pretty interesting though - we will have to see if it is a succesful program for them.

    Cataumet Blue

Our dealer had 2 blue hull gradys 2 years ago when we were shopping for ours. I would have bought one if they had a 225 that way. The Ray Hunt hull just looked SO sharp that way. These were custom awl-gripped by the dealer because he thought the local market would welcome them, which I think...
