Stonewall, You have to find out when your water pump and thermostats were last changed. Four years you are probably due. I always perform this in the spring commissioning cause its too cold for me in Nov/Dec. I would also pressure test the lower unit. Jack

check for the thumb screw that fits into a stainless tab agains the hull, It might be missing! Without it the back rest is unstable. the new 330 eliminated this item, what year is the vessel? Jack

I did Ask that question of the rep! he stated 2002, 2003 were affected, also stated 2004 model year was resolved. I've got 2004 F225's. once I open them up I'll know if that is true. The other thread on this problem listed 2002 thru 2004 models affected. I hope the rep is correct.

What year are your motors? I was told the same by the rep, and since I'm doing water pumps in march I'll check at that time. My motors are coming out of warranty in April this year. If there is corrosion I'll bring it to Jersey in April and see what they say. I'll report back on my findings...

problem solved Had the generator serviced by Charlie at NY Marine and Propulsion, from Staten Island. He replaced the siphon break, works perfect. Thanks for your help.

yes, checked the reed it is clear. The fluid is full streaming out of the reed during operation of the generator. I think I'll remove the connecting hose next to verify any blockage. Otherwise, don't really know what else to do it is a 2004 and came original with the boat.
