Starbrite non slid deck cleaner, 2 for 1

FYI-I stopped at West Marine today and they had Starbrite non skid deck cleaner on sale, buy one get one free. Price for a one qt. bottle was 9.99 so it works out to $5 a bottle, that's about as cheap as I've seen it anywhere lately. I use this a lot so I stocked up. They also had other 2 for 1...

    Rub Rail Help

A detailer told me he uses a wet Magic Eraser to clean it up then puts on a coat of Collonite Insulator Wax. I tried it today and it looks good. I've used Formula 303 in the past but I'm hoping this will last longer.

Best 4 stroke hp for 20' and 22' grady cc

For the 22 CC, go with 225 or 250. I have the 250 and its a great match for the boat. Top end around 48 mph and cruises at 30 mph at 4000 rpm and about 9 gallons per hour at 30 mph. Gets on plane FAST.

    New Freedom 255 DC

I wonder why they went with the name FREEDOM instead of TOURNAMENT to go along with the rest of the dual console series.

    HEAD QUESTION

My boat has a porti potty that is plumbed for overboard discharge through a macerator. Need to be out 3 miles to use it. Otherwise valves get switched to use it like a holding tank and pump-out at the marina. If you are inshore you need to make sure the valves are in the correct position if...

Southern Boy w/ Cold Weather Question

Bama, I can't keep up with your boats. Didn't know you had a Tournament now, thought you still had the Marlin that you bought after the 222. This cold sucks...we're supposed to get to around 32 in SW Florida tonight. Citrus crops may be in trouble.

    PROPER WAY TO FLUSH MOTOR

I've been using Salt Terminator when I flush mine. I assume it's doing some good but not really sure. Anyone else using it to flush their motor?

A drunk driver destroyed my Grady

Wow, that really sucks. Is that a 222;looks familiar to me. I REALLY hope they find the guy. Do you know if the damage is repairable? Sorry for the damage.

Merry Christmas to you too! Even if the economy doesn't recover in 2010, I'm STILL going fishing. :D

    New 23 Fisherman?

I noticed the cockpit sq footage is 58 vs. 55 for the 222. That makes more sense. Couldn't see why they would build a boat with less square footage. The draft on the 23 is 20" vs. 16" on the 222. I've really gotten to like that shallow draft on the 222 since I fish in so many shallow areas.

    New 23 Fisherman?

Maybe I'm missing something. A new hull mold is pretty costly to gain 6" in beam, 10" in length and lose 1 sq foot of cockpit space. The 222 has 8 ft beam, 55 sq ft cockpit space and 250 HP max. Maybe they'll phase out the 222.

what is it about GW clubs?

Where in FL are you located? There are 2 really active clubs in SW Florida: Tarpon Coast and Fish Tales. I think it helps to have strong dealer support.

    Using a dockside pumpout

The marina I use has an adapter to fit the threads of my pump-out outlet. I know they have a couple of different adapter sizes because outlets aren't all the same size. Pump out works like a big vacuum-boat pump on mine doesn't need to work at all.

    222 fisherman steering issue

If you find the steering hardens up at higher speeds, try trimming up your engine (not the tabs). Usually when you get the bow up a little bit you'll find the steering eases up greatly. You may have to experiment a bit but you should be able to find how much engine trim it takes to ease the...
